Good phone but I haven't been successful when trying predictive textin
2 June 2013
Summary: The phone works well, seems to be well built and a good value for the money. One problem that I have with it is that it doesn't seem to have predictive texting. A note came up saying that it wasn't available on a querty keyboard, and when I slide it the other way, texting is totally random, changes letters around that I already typed in and definitely doesn't predict the word or phrase that I'm trying to type.
Excerpt: My first ever Pantech phone. I had always been reticent to buy a Pantech phone because I heard they were mixed bags, but I found a second-hand Matrix for about $20 so I got it. Reception is quite spotty. In my computer room the phone has zero bars but doesn't lose connection to the network, and then randomly jumps from 2-4 bars, then zero again. To be fair, in the rest of the city the phone usually maintained a good signal and never dropped a call.
Summary: I really like this phone. The dual slider keyboards are a big plus to me. And the fact it is not a "smart" phone. The only things I had a problem was the manual which was too cursory in their coverage of the phone's options. I had to go to my Ford dealer to find out how to get the contacts downloaded to my MS SYNC. It turns out the have to be "pushed" one at a time to the SYNC system. However there is no place in the manual it explains how to do it.
Summary: The phone is great. I had one a few years ago and liked it but I dropped it one to many times. I needed a new one so I went back to the Pantech. The only problem I had was with the new battery. It was wrapped and looked good but wouldn't hold up for 12 hrs even if not in use. I took one out of my old phone and the problem was solved.
Summary: this is a brilliant phone however finding charger was hard in retail stores, best bet is get off ebay or go to Resell stores. The phone is decent pocket size and nice lcd and colors . iGreat Slide & Qwerty Keyboard. Very easy to use, and is unlockable if gsm.
Summary: I bought this for my wife to replace her old one that was broken by an inconsiderate teenager (not ours). She likes the features and the QWERTY keyboard. The red color was nice. The battery cover, however, was flimsy so my wife used the more sturdy battery cover from her old phone.
Everything I wanted except the bluetooth connection.

Summary: I bought the Matrix for its ease of texting and calls. I have only had one problem and thats that it keeps disconnecting my bluetooth earbud. In all other aspects, I love the phone. It was everything I wanted. For the money, I say You can't go wrong if you need the qwerty keyboard, but also like the number pad for calls.
great phone, good price, too bad the screen was scratched and not disclosed

Summary: great price, but was not disclosed that the screen was so badly scratched (picture of phone is not actual phone). Also, the battery seems to die quickly, which could be from using it so often (my daughter is using it so I am not sure how 'busy' she is on it)
Excerpt: I have had this phone for nearly 3 years, and many of the common complaints I did not experience. I am a heavy use texter and I'm surprised I did not overload the poor thing. PROS: -Easy to Text (the program itself and the keyboard) -Some customization -Nice Design -Reception was good until 2 weeks ago (I lived in a borderline area where phone companies really made the difference between calls and voicemail) CONS: -Only holds 300 texts(this may not be a con, but still...
