Disappointed

Misty B., Amazon
28 March 2013
  • Summary: I was really disappointed in this phone. It is really bulky, plus when I bought it, there is a little green dot in the screen that stays lit all the time. Also, my contacts kept erasing out of my phone every time the phone would die or was turned off. Not happy at all.

This phone is out dated and not worth the money.

  • Summary: This phone may have been good for its time, however the features are out dated. I do not like the texting feature, as you cannot view conversations, only individual messages. The phone is a bit bulky compared to more recent phones. The phone does not connect to the Bluetooth in my car very easily. I have to manually connect it each time I get in my car. Other phones I have had connect automatically. I bought this used and the keys were a little worn.

  • Excerpt: I am not your average omg girl i need a phone that can take a beating. I do not like this phone its slow, it freezes, its not rugged at all. I heard so many good things about it so I figured I would try it out. It does all your average call someone voicemail txting so on and so forth but i think that its talked up way to much for what is not.

Not worth it...find a different phone!

  • Excerpt: I recently upgraded my phone through AT&T for the second time. I was looking for a durable phone with a full keyboard. I liked the idea of the Pantech Duo, but when I was ready to upgrade they had phased out that phone. I was looking for either a smartphone or a full keyboard. My second choice phone was the Pantech Matrix. When I was ready to upgrade it was between two phones. This one, and the Samsung Blackjack II.

Good for texting, but seems cheaply made

  • Excerpt: I used the Pantech Matrix for almost 2 years.  Since I do a whole lot of texting, it was nice to have my first texting keyboard.  It also seemed practical to seperate out the letter keypad from the numeric keypad.  However, the fact that it has two different slide out keypads (one for letters, one for numbers), makes it very easy to break/have glitches.

The Matrix is a nice looking phone that has problems.

  • Excerpt: The Pantec Matrix comes in different color choices.  I has the capability to add a memory card to it.  This phone has a dual slide so that the user has access to 2 different keyboards and 2 different views on the screen.   I have had to request 2 replacements for the Pantec Matrix phone.  I have only had this phone for 9 months.  It is consistently dropping calls and turning off.  The battery can be fully charged but the phone will freeze up and then shut off.

  • Excerpt: I hate this phone. I have had it for almost two years and I can not wait to get an upgrade. At first I thought I would love it because it has the awesome QUERTY keyboard perfect for a huge texter like me...nope. After a few months of use some of the buttons stopped working and there was no way to fix them so I'm stuck texting the other, slower keyboard that also comes standard with the phone. Do you love to talk? Well, don't get this phone!

  • Excerpt: This phone may not be that great but you can buy new wallpapers, games, music etc. if you have service. If you don't have web sevice on this phone it may not be that great. Although it does have cool features and a 1 mega pixel camera. I am not a phone fan so that is why I took a phone like this.

Pantech Matrix

717brikey, Ebay
21 August 2010
  • Summary: Although the phone is very thick, it is one of the only phones offering dual sliding keyboards, one numeric, and the other a QWERTY keyboard. I wasn't to key on this phone because of Pantech's AT&T software. It wasn't as good as Samsung's software. The QWERTY keyboard on the phone was difficult to text on, unlike the older version, the Pantech Duo. The keys are very stiff, and it dosn't feel like you've hit them sometimes.
