Summary: For those users who are just not ready to move to a smart phone. Pluses of this Pantech Link p7040: super easy texting, availability of limited access to internet, much lower data monthly charges than associated with a smart phone. Minuses: camera adequate not great. I actually purchased this phone a second time after dropping it with damage to the screen.

Summary: Arrived exactly as advertised, unlocked and clearly brand new. It was easy to put in my old SIM card. There is no touch screen here; it is all buttons. This may be a plus for some who are sick of their constantly desensitized touch screens, or a minus for those who like to swoosh their finger across the screen. It has everything needed here and is easy to operate. Keyboard is small and can really only be used by one hand. Unbeatable price.
Excerpt: Got this phone for my granddaughter to use. She primarily uses it for texting, sometimes for voice. So far, it has been working really well. She has had it for only two weeks so can't comment on durability yet.
Summary: True Story: Last year I went on 'Superman: The Ride' at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. There are big signs posted everywhere warning riders not to have any loose objects (money, wallets, phones) in their pockets. I thought I was smarter, and I put my phone into the back pocket of my clothing. I assumed that once I was seated on the ride my posterior would naturally protect the phone from taking a leap and it'd be safe.

As before I received the phone as promised and it worked perfectly. Will alwas be my first place to look.
Summary: With all my other phones I could not wait until my two years were up and I could get a new phone. Well I had the Link for 3.5 years before I realized I should be close to my two year mark. My wife went through two phones and it never occurred to me that I should get a new one because I enjoyed this one. Another 6 months later and I picked out another Pantech phone. A touch screen, newer, "modern" yada yada...
