Good phone for a great price!

shalvit1981, Ebay

  • Summary: I really like this phone-and for the price it's even better. If you want a phone just for texting and some light web browsing, then this phone is excellent. The only problem is the battery life. For some reason, I have to charge my phone twice a day-but that could be my battery-I'll check into that-lol. Overall, this is a great starter phone or a phone used for just above the basics.

A temporary fit

starvid12, Ebay

  • Summary: Light weight, good phone for the price. Camera doesn't zoom in. It is able to lock when not in use. Lots of people confuse it for a blackberry so I like to call it a "blackbery knock off". Not a touch screen but better than a flip phone.

phone is good. beware the proprietary accessory jack.

copacetic99, Ebay
7 September 2012
  • Summary: My wife seems happy with the phone so far. Her use is pretty basic for voice and texting only, and it seems to do that fine. Big "gotchas" to watch for involve what seems to be a proprietary adaptor for headphone / charger connection. This means your normal headsets won't connect to it, and you need to buy new adaptors, and the options for accessories are pretty poor in some cases.

"the Link is an OK phone"

  • Pros: cheap good for texting reasonably easy to use
  • Cons: have to watch the data charges. i was able to get ATT to block the browser on the phone so I no longer have "accidents"

Great while its lasted...

Me, Phone Arena
12 June 2011
  • Excerpt: Well, the phone was outstanding for 5 months. I talk many hours everyday, and the battery would last for 3 days. Not any more though. The six and currently seventh month I have had it, the cellular divice turns off when it feels, so has to be plugged in every night to avoid missing work. Its call quality is now lacking, and the reseption is becoming poor.

The Pantech Link is a good basic phone. Not for cam lovers.

  • Summary: I have used this cell phone for the last two years and I am quite pleased with it. The phone has access to the internet and has an interesting conversation format (similar to iphone) for messaging between people. I do not like the fact that the phone does not hold many text messages. I think the limit is 30-50 text messages. I also do not like the camera because it has low pixels and nearly all my pictures come out blurry.

  • Pros: Long battery life, light weight, conversation boxes
  • Cons: Constantly freezing, if you accidentally hit one button you will get charged data rates, poor video quality, does not hold a lot of text messages

"Great for messaging, O.K. for web, So so call quality."

trueplayer12345, CNET
20 February 2011
  • Pros: Messaging is easy, conversations show up as threaded, so it makes reading the conversation really easy. Keyboard is easy enough. The browser is decent but not spectacular, Battery seems to last me for a while. Loud speaker for playing MP3
  • Cons: Proprietary port for headset (If you want to listen to your music in private or to save battery power) is a pain in the a**. When browsing the web, the phone would randomly start telling me that the connection failed. Even with full bars and "3G".
