Review of Pantech Link II

Testfreaks blog

  • Summary: Phones have come so far, they can be our personal assistants helping us with our day to day tasks and we can even talk to them and for the most part they’ll obey. Those are smartphone though and not everyone wants or needs a smartphone do they? I’ve been using a smartphone for many years and I’ve come to enjoy them very much, but I don’t exactly use them for business use as they are truly intended as I’m sure most people really don’t either.
  • Pros: Thin and lightweight, Easy to use, Decent battery life, Very inexpensive, Nicely made
  • Cons: Phone restarted for no reason, Talk time could be better, Camera could be better

  • Summary: With its great call quality and accessible design, the Pantech Link II is a great option for AT&T customers who don't need a workhorse of a cell phone.
  • Pros: The Pantech Link II has a simple, user-friendly design with admirable call quality. The pop-up menu when making calls is fantastic.
  • Cons: The Pantech Link II has a flimsy plastic feel. Media features and the Web browser should be used only when necessary.

  • Conclusion: The Pantech II is a much better deal than the first version was; for texting fiends or anyone looking to avoid smartphone-like monthly fees, it's a solid choice.
  • Pros: Good value. Nice Web browser. Large QWERTY keyboard given the svelte form factor.
  • Cons: Tinny speakerphone. No voice dialing. Proprietary headphone jack.
