Summary: i put up with an LG "touch screen" phone for almost 3 years. the touch screen was a joke. it was difficult to use. I wanted to upgrade but verizon doesn't have very many dumb phones to choose from.. I have 2 daughters with pantech crux and they have been very satisfied... so i decided to try. It is a 100% improvement over the LG. the biggest problem is that i liked having a real keyboard that slid out.
Excerpt: I bought this phone last month as my contract with Verizon was up for renewal. While this phone may not have all the bells and whistles that other smart phones have, it does possess tex/picture/video messaging, IM, mobile web capability, Bluetooth and GPS service through Verizon's Navigator and V Cast for video/music playback.
Excerpt: I just bought the Pantech Crux ($50) and it was my first touch phone. I was really excited because it looked sleek and seemed to have good features. One major problem is that it lags. There is a time delay from the time you tap a button on the screen to when it responds. Also, the phone sliides up and down to lock and unlock the phone. You have to be careful that the phone doesn't slide into the unlocked position in your pocket or purse.
Summary: I bought this phone mainly because I wanted a more modern looking phone that didn't require a data plan....Pretty much this phone is your only option. I find I really like it. The touch screen works well unlike other phones that I have owned (choc. touch)...it is hard to text on it though so if you are looking for a texting phone...this won't be for you. The battery life is ok...but...I like the phone..good reception....Would recommend...
Summary: This was a great phone for the price. I bought this phone for a friend of mines for herr birthday and she loves it. I would recommend this phone to anyone. This phone is a lower grade of touch screen but it is easy to use and anyone will learn tolove it. You have a MP3 Player on it so you'll never need to buy an I pod.
Excerpt: I love this phone! I had the Samsung Intensity and now that I have an all touch screen, I will never go back to punching keys. I got this on September 11th... as an upgrade, and I only payed $1.04!!! The only issue I have is the multiple texts, but I had that with my intensity. The touch screen takes some getting used to, but what touchscreen doesn't? It has a slim design, which is good, and you don't need a data plan. All in all, great phone!
Pros: Nice sleek design, good display, doesn't need a data package to operate.
