Summary: I actually bought this to replace my aging TP2. I like the fact that I can scroll messages/emails without opening them - a real problem on the touch without the keyboard opened. This phone is more usable in daylight than the TP2, is lighter and has better battery life. The screen is the #1 BEST feature of the phone - you can turn the backlight off in bright environments and still use the phone!
Pros: One handed use - keyboard is always there at the ready, the size is small enough to fit any shirt pocket. The #1 BONUS this phone has is the TRANS-REFLECTIVE SCREEN! Yes boys and girls this phone can be easily used in bright sunlight.
Cons: The #1 drawback is WM6.1, the never quite ready for primetime mobile OS. I've had the phone for less than a week and have removed the battery 1/2 dozen times already. (to turn it off/soft reset) This device does not have a real power button.
Excerpt: I had this phone for about a year. I am very happy with it. I bougth from Palm as an unlocked phone. Switched my sim card from ATT to T MObile and works perfectLY. PROS: VERY LIGHT, SYNCS WITH MS OUTLOOK, HAVE LOADED MY OXFORD BILINGUAL DICTIONARY. HAS A TOUCH SCREEN,WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER AND I CARRY ALL MY CONTACTS. WHY would ANYBODY NEED A DIFFERENT PDA? I USED HP'S PDA 6345 AND 6945 and this is an improvemnet11 THIS IS MORE COMPACT.
Summary: I read some bad reviews before purchasing this phone, but after 2 months i have to say is just what i expected. The phone is great, i loaded mobile 6.5 on it , and now is even better. Battery is ok, it runs fine for at least 1 day when in full use. Wifi works great as well. Dont have to be restarted every day, it rarely crashes, nice cam.....
Excerpt: best phone ive had so far. good features, good design, freezes up once in a while but no big deal. for people not used to palm phones, the keyboard might be tricky at first. im glad palm switched this phone to windows mobile. i dont like palm soft ware that much. over all great phone.
Summary: Take this for what its worth, I had been in the market for a smartphone so that I could have the convenience of internet, wifi, outlook and many of the little things that make these little phones essential. I was on a budget and found online an unlocked HP Ipaq model 6900. I read the reviews and some were good and some were bad, needless to say I took a chance and bought this thing.
Summary: I've been playing with this phone just a few days and i gotta tell you guys this is a great phone... you can feel and see the quality on it... WiFi works great and everything else too... I'm not the guy that fools around on BB, I think Palm's are great devices. I hope this helps.
Excerpt: I finally received this as a replacement for my palm Centro. Sprint Folks gave me some bad info regarding what phone will work on my 3rd party Plan. I ordered the Blackberry Curve and found it will not work. Then I ordered the Samsung ACE (Piece of Garbage). Sent both back to Sprint and got the Palm Treo Pro. I love this phone in every way however the Signal Strength is next to ZERO. I have a Katrina and it has 4 bars whereas the Treo Pro has ZERO bars.
Excerpt: I was about to join the others with blackberries and even thought about getting a pre but I find myself finally satisfied with a windows based phone. I have used the HTC touch, treo 800, and this phone is a nice surprise. In my opinion doesn't get enough respect probably because it's a palm running windows but it works. I rarely have to pull the battery once in 3 weeks. It's fast and reception is awesome, even the battery life is good.
