Love the phone...hate the speaker

  • Excerpt: I bought the Palm Treo Pro offline b/c I hate extending a 2 yr contract.  So far my only complaint is the speaker on the phone.  The same speaker is used for "speaker phone" and regular talking.  This means when I talk on the phone the speaker is actually on the other side of the key pad.  My problem with this is that if you sit close enough to me you can now here both sides of the conversation easily.

  • Excerpt: I have been using the Palm phone for about 4 years now, my first was the 650. I was using the Centro when the Pro first came out and I just had to have it of corse. My upgrade wasn't avaliable yet, go figure, so I save up the cash. With my service providers rebates and instant rebated In the end I only paid $50. This phone is the best !!! I have it where my google calendar is on it and reminds me of my agenda each day.

  • Excerpt: Palm centro by Verizon. Phone is horrible. As I am talking and using the phone it often disconnects me. Not due to connection with Verizon, it is due to the keypad , any slight pressure hangs up the phone. Unable to read entire emails. Only has so much view for emails. Would never recomend this phone.

One you go touch, you can't go back!

  • Excerpt: I upgraded from a Katana to the Palm Treo and LOVE it. The touch screen is addicting and if I try to use someone else's phone I tend to touch the screen and look silly. I love the calendar and Google Maps the best. I also love having the game Suduko on there for when I am bored. I love that it also has an MP3 player but wish it held more songs without needing additional storage. I get pretty good service no matter where I am and love that about the phone.

The Palm Treo Pro gets the job done...but not conveniently.

  • Excerpt: The Palm Treo Pro Smartphone - Cell Phone has excellent service, when on a Verizon network; hardly ever drops a call.  The internet is a bit slow, but eventually gives you what you are looking for.  Emailing and texting leaves something to be desired. The problem with the email and texting capabilities is with the limitations that the unit presents.  It is very cumbersome to view email chains and/or togggle in and out of attachments.

  • Excerpt: I bought this phone unlocked for international use. It works well on international systems. I have had no real difficulties, but two things have stood out for me. The two problems I have had with the phone are that skype cannot be downloaded on it for some reason. Skype mobile is only allowed on certain smartphones so if you use it a lot (like I did), you might want to look into that first. The most annoying thing about this phone is that there is no way to turn it off.

Palm's last great achievement with their original OS

  • Excerpt: The Treo was Palm's last great achievement with their old OS.  I still see these phones around and my wife still uses her's.  If you are looking for a cheap smartphone that opened the doors for smartphones; the Treo Pro is for you.  But since App development has all but halted, even though Palm invented App stores nearly 10 years ago, everyone has moved to bigger and better.  I a great phone to get you started.  Will work with Microsoft Exchange, Google, etc.

  • Excerpt: The Palm Treo Pro is an amazing phone. Not only is is sleek style and look appealing it is actually very functional for business or pleasure.  It has Mobile office, allowing you to access Microsoft office mobile at your finger tips. Need a power point? or just a regular word document? Simply sync to your computer and download the file to your palm. If you are lost on the road somewhere, it has GPS to help you out on knowing exactly where you are and where you are headed.

This is the best phone I've ever owned

  • Excerpt: I've had the Palm Treo Pro for about a month now and I have to say that it is incredible. It is literally like having a mini laptop. It's so much like a computer that I hardly use my laptop anymore; I don't really need it anymore. Thete's not much the computer can do that the Palm Treo Pro can't. It has Excel, OneNote, Powerpoint, and Word, which is unbelievablely convenient. The camera is great and takes clear images.

  • Excerpt: I have been a pretty longtime Palm user. I had the Treo 755p for a long time with my network Sprint. About a month ago, my Treo broke and I used  my upgrade to get the new version. When I first got the phone I really liked it. It looked nice, it had a lot of features, and it was a SmartPhone. However, after owning it a little over a month, I know that it isn't really reliable, and most of the features don't really work.
