The Palm Treo 750v is a PDA phone from Palm and runs the Windows Mobile 5.2 operating system like its predecessor, the 700w. Compared to other high-end PDA’s in the market, the 750v does fall short on applications but users are allowed to download a huge number of third-party apps. Its features include basic messaging and organizing capabilities along with Office Mobile which allows users to view and edit Microsoft Office documents. There is also an application which facilitates viewing of PDF documents. The phone does not support Wi-Fi, but instead support 3G so users can browse the internet on-the-go. There’s also a bundle of multimedia features like a 1.3-megapixel camera and integrated Windows Media Player 10 which handles most audio and video formats, also allowing users to organize their music.

The Treo 750v is definitely one of the better PDAs in the market but it doesn’t come without faults. The installed Internet Explorer performs quite poorly and corporate users will find this annoying. Small pages load fast enough but complicated or lengthy pages tend to crash the browser. Also, the small display makes users scroll a lot to read lengthy pages. Multimedia playback is also plagued with a number of issues like improper treble balance and a noticeable lack of bass. Videos sometimes make WMP freeze for a while, so you may have to miss critical portions of the clips. Otherwise, the Treo 750v is a powerful PDA phone and should provide you with a unique experience if you can afford it.
