TREo700p gets the job done for me!

  • Excerpt: The TREo700p is a cool cell phone.  It does what it advertises and the more tech saavy you are the  more yiu could get from ths little gadget.  It is much lighter than the other TREo's  and a bit smaller.  It seems to have a problem with the connector on the wall charger and car charger.  this presents a major problem.  I have 3 chargers in 3 months and the wall charger has left me without my phone a couple of days.  Beware of this problem.

  • Excerpt: I had this phone I when I first got into smartphones. I loved it. It didn't freeze. Which is very important with there phone. But it was a little bulky so I upgraded. These are great but I recommend a back-up battery. I loved that it was bluetooth enabled.

It works

  • Summary: For the price I guess it is ok, the touchscreen works fine but it is missing games and none of the ones i could play on my old phone work on this one, others only reboot the phone or force a reformat as it begins looping on the reboot, the bluetooth works because it will connect to other phones but it won't connect to my headphones which work everywhere else so the phone must not have 2.0.

  • Excerpt: I was such a Palm fan once, and now I want to run this one over with my car. Same as above. Freezes, won't turn on, doesn't record missed calls when it is manually restarted. Palm and Verizon support is stumped. I refuse to go through another hard reset, it just isn't worth it. The phone is unreliable, aggravating and not worth the money I paid for it.

Totally Agree--bad device

jxn, Phone Arena
6 November 2007
  • Excerpt: I'm so disappointed with the 700p. Resets all the time--worst when placing, receiving, or in the middle of a call (bad for business). I got so frustrated with the 700p, I switched to a Blackberry. Was very disappointed with the interface of the Blackberry--no touch screen, roller ball. But at least it worked. I'm very disappointed with Palm and with Verizon on this one.

  • Excerpt: I loved the phone when I first got it but it lagged and crashed all the time. It finally crashed beyond repair. I loved the touch screen dial pad and speakerphone options.

Disappointing device

ducque, epinions.com

  • Summary: DON'T, unless you are technically savvy. Technophobes will hate it. Be prepared to shell out more $$ once you own it.
  • Pros: Love the basic functionality, the idea of PDA and phone merged into one device.
  • Cons: Poor quality control. Many mysteriously missing features.
