Great old school smart phone- can't live without it
15 September 2012
Summary: Great old smart phone. I had to replace the same model since it went for a swim. For as old as this platform is it does a lot! I have used a Palm platform device for over 15 years and have lots of data backed up on my computer that I could not bear to lose. That is why I chose not to upgrade to an Android or iPhone. My only letdown is the "new" phone did not come with an SD memory card. It had the factory "non-functional" dummy card in the slot.
Excerpt: The TREo700p is a cool cell phone. It does what it advertises and the more tech saavy you are the more yiu could get from ths little gadget. It is much lighter than the other TREo's and a bit smaller. It seems to have a problem with the connector on the wall charger and car charger. this presents a major problem. I have 3 chargers in 3 months and the wall charger has left me without my phone a couple of days. Beware of this problem.
Excerpt: I've had my Palm Treo 700P for about 6 months now and I love it. The texting on the phone is so easy and the UI works perfectly. I would suggest getting a case and screen protector for the phone as it does tend to scratch easily, the case not the screen. This phone is also great for getting email and surfing the web.
Excerpt: I had this phone I when I first got into smartphones. I loved it. It didn't freeze. Which is very important with there phone. But it was a little bulky so I upgraded. These are great but I recommend a back-up battery. I loved that it was bluetooth enabled.
Excerpt: I love this phone, this is my current phone i use everyday through Sprint and couldn't happier with the quality of the phone. It is perfect for someone who uses their phone alot and has a ton of email volume, and who love the palm pilots. The size is decent, not too big, it can still fit easily into a pocket or purse. The sync of emails is easy and quick. If you like to download mp3's and video's like me the sound and video quality is excellent.
Excerpt: This phone is too big, you can't use it on your day to day activities unless you want to live with an earpiece in your ear 24/7. It holds alot of information but depending on what you download from the net your phone may freeze on you. If you move to fast on the touch screen it may also freeze. There was no real easy place to store it for the female unless you throw it in your purse.
Excerpt: The phone is easy to use. Typical male here, I do not read instuction manuals. Figured it out through trial and error. The touchscreen is very responsive, but add a case onto it and it is a little more difficult to work the items displayed in the border regions of the screen. Overall - good phone with every item you could need on it.
Excerpt: This phone is very user friendly, even for people with bigger fingers, the touch screen is awesome, its sleek, the sound is great, it can do it all. the available colors stand out, the battery stays charged, and it is even kidproof!
Excerpt: I love this phone! Can't say enough about it. I am able to keep all my contacts, calendar, PDA, and telephone all in one place. My contacts are clear and I'm able to keep photos of all my contacts in the phone. When they call me I can look at their picture and know who it is calling immediately. Also, it is a camera and videocamera. I especially love how text messages are so much easier to type out on the buildin keyboard.
