Great phone if you don't want or need all the latest technology.

Summary: Great phone if you don't need all the latest and not always greatest technology. I purchased this phone to replace a 3 year old Palm Pre that had been dropped one too many times. My data contract featured unlimited data. Since this phone's hotspot feature is the only internet access for my wife and I during our four month Arizona winter, we wanted to keep the data plan which can no longer be purchased.
Summary: Good phone. It takes excellent pictures. There are not many of the popular apps available on this phone but it does what you need. Very easy to use, lightweight and compact. All in all, I am satisfied.
Excerpt: I really (still) like webOS a lot, now I have a iPhone 4s and I really miss the card swiping and notification system. App ecosystem is non-existent (I lived outside US in South America) so this was an important swing factor. Very sad story for webOS. Could've could've but wasn't.
Excerpt: Ergonomically designed with a very usable interface. The swipe gestures and multi tasking is nice to use. A better camera would have been great. The hp app catalog restrictions are a pain too. On a positive note, the third party developers network is insanely good. And did I forget, the...
Excerpt: Great touches. (Mirror on back, wireless charging) webOS is great and all (best-in-class notifications, multitasking, definitely not as bad as most people make it out to be.), but has some slowness and bugs, and suffers from lack of app selection. The Pre 2 is a solid phone, not going to blow...
Pre 2 - Decent, great for those who appreciate it, may not be the best for the average joe

Excerpt: The Pre 2 features webOS (and all the benefits coming with it, a web search will give you all the details), and many nice touches, although it lacks what some consider fundamentals. Wireless charging, hidden mirror, and the overall design are great. webOS is arguably the best mobile OS, (contrary to what Apple wants you to think) but has an uncertain future and has some bugs. Some features are lacking, e.g.
Summary: Even though Webos looks like its fading to black I cant help myself with the platform. Capability is second to none! I wished HP stayed in the market and improved on battery life. Over all the best phone I have owned!
Good buy if you want to stay with webOS and/or like to tinker

Summary: Bought this to replace my aging Pre +. If you're into webOS this is pretty much the latest and greatest (and lets not hope the last) Stateside, though the Veer may be an option for you if you're not on Verizon. That being said, if you don't know what webOS is, steer clear. webOS is dead. Long live webOS!
