The Palm Pre 2 is a mobile phone that runs HP webOS platform and features a 3.1-inch multitouch screen with a 24-bit color, 320x480 resolution HVGA display. It also features a slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard, Microsoft® Exchange email with Microsoft, Direct Push Technology, POP3/IMAP (Yahoo!® Mail, Gmail™, AOL, Hotmail®, etc.) and supports integrated IM, SMS, and MMS. Other features on the Palm Pre 2 includes built-in GPS, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, extended depth of field, geotagging, and video capture; Accelerometer, ambient light, and proximity sensor; supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR, QCELP, and WAV audio format, MPEG-4, H.263 and H.264 video format, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g with WPA, WPA2, WEP, 802.1X authentication; Bluetooth® wireless technology 2.1+ EDR with A2DP stereo Bluetooth support; Wi-Fi router functionality for up to five devices using Palm mobile hotspot and is powered by a 16GB (~15GB user available) memory. The Palm Pre 2 is powered by a battery that provides users with up to 5.5 hours of talk time and 350 hours standby time. It measures 2.35 x 3.96 x 0.67 inches and weighs 5.1 ounces.

It is designed in a sleeker design with A touchscreen and slide-out keyboard. users can multitask thanks to the phone’s 16GB memory capacity, pause a game, tap an email notification, check calendar, read a restaurant review, send an email reply, then switch back to the game without closing anything. Running webOS 2.0, open apps are logically grouped together in card stacks. Contacts and calendars are also kept up to date automatically with built-in integration for Facebook®, Google™, LinkedIn®, Yahoo!® and Microsoft® Exchange.
