Summary: Bought this phone to use with my straight talk sim card. (bring your own phone program) After much research, there is no way to get past the profile set up screen and there is no user manual to be found any where.(Not in box or on internet) I even called straight talk. They said if my sim card was working in my old phone, it should be working in the palm pixi and that the phone was compatible with straight talk but they have no information to help me set it up.
Summary: I've always loved Palm devices. As for mentioned, the device is easily connected to Straight Talk's bring your own sim program. The phone also has WIFI capability, all the Apps I need and is comparable to my previous HTC 4G Android. Best phone I've ever had.
Summary: I absolutely LOVE the Palm Pixi Plus, You can do everything at once. I can email while on the phone, as well as play a game, or text. Just with the flick of my finger. Wish that I would of known the one I bought from Ebay instead of Sprint was actually a Verizon/Boost Network. I was very sad.
Summary: This is a replacemnet for my previous Pixi which was a loyal trouble free phone for over 2 years/ webOS is simply the best OS out there. This phoe is fantastic in every way. No other OS comes even close to webOS.
Summary: I bought the Palm Pixi to use on Page Plus. I wanted a phone that had GPS and could serve as an emergency hotspot. It does both. The Palm lives in the smaller alternate WebOS universe - neither Android nor Apple. There I have had no problem finding those apps that I need. "Hacking" in WebOS requires no flashing and what-not. It is an open universe. I like using it for calls and texts, I like the little keyboard. It is rather small and that is a plus.
Summary: The Pixie was supposed to be unlocked but could not be made operational. It was to have replaced a prior Pixi phone that my son accidentally washed. Returning the item to the local Walmart was a little of a hassle since the personnel were unfamiliar with Walmart.com returns.
Summary: Bought the phone because I had a Verizon account. I like that the phone is a touch screen & very easy to figure out & use, even w/o instructions. The screens vivid color is also nice, One thing I don't care for so much is that the screen is farely small. In my opinion , the Palm Pixie is one of the best phones I've ever had.
Excerpt: This phone has marvelous hardware. Its small, petitie, and light, and the design is gorgeous. I have some issues though. It stutters, it lags, and don't EVEN bother playing music while doing something else. Because of the shameful processor, playing ,music brings the phone to its knees. Don't get me wrong, webOS is beautiful, but the Pixi is just too underpowered. If you can deal with the bad camera and lag and mediocre speed, then go for it.
