A beautiful phone loaded with one of the finest smartphone operating systems to date should have plenty of potential, but Palm’s reluctance to give this phone the horsepower it really needs to get out of its own way remains a making sticking point. The faster processor alone in the Pre Plus might make it worth the extra $70, but 16GB of storage, double the memory, a larger screen and better camera all seal the deal: Palm outmoded the Pixi with its own flesh and blood. The Palm Pixi Plus from Verizon Wireless is decent phone overall, but it’s not without some faults. Part of the reason I don’t care for this phone is personal, it just seems to small and delicate for me, the other part is usability with the very small keyboard, I just don’t like it at all. Certainly not the last major carrier to adopt webOS into its lineup, AT&T customers have been fortunate to see Palm's once fledgling mobile operating platform make its entrance with the Palm Pre Plus. However, customers are now given a choice with the recent introduction of the – it surely feels late to the game, but it's nonetheless finally here. Read more

Editor’s Note : Portions of this review were taken from our earlier review of the Palm Pixi (Sprint). The Palm Pre ’s younger, less powerful sibling, the Palm Pixi, has returned, this time on Verizon Wireless with the same “Plus” moniker. What does the Plus include? Wi-Fi and mobile hotspot capabilities on a new network, with the promise of video recording and integrated Flash support arriving with the next webOS update in February. Read more

of smartphones! But unlike the hapless generals, your two newest devices, the Pixi Plus and Pre Plus, are pretty decent with some admittedly awesome features. But how do the two stack up against each other? And more importantly, how the hell do you tell them apart? Here, let Wired give you the lowdown. Read more

    • So small it’ll fit nearly any pocket. New Wi-Fi and hotspot features add bite. Comes with Touchstone-ready and rugged skins. Pinch-zoomers rejoice: It sports multitouch.
    • So small it’ll cramp nearly any thumb. Mobile hotspot feature eats up waaaay too much juice. 2-megapixel camera is no longer acceptable. Switching skins is harder than...

I really like this phone. As much as I like this phone, it won’t be my next phone. I felt it was a little underpowered, and I don’t really care for the form factor (except for the incredibly small size). I am a sucker for a large screen and some horsepower. Also, I have to admit, that I think I am losing the battle to not become an Android fan-boy. Read more

Introduction If we had one disappointment with the Palm Pixi it was that it didn’t support WiFi. Not only does the Palm Pixi Plus support WiFi it also lets you turn the cell phone into a Mobile HotSpot so that you can share your data connection with up to 5 WiFi-enabled devices. A pretty neat trick, but it will cost an additional $40 a month. Read more

The Pixi Plus is a small, slim and attractive smartphone that's more tailored to younger users primarily interested in messaging. We liked the practical and well-designed interface that makes touch-screen navigation a breeze. Switched from a regular txting phone w/o internet to this "touchscreen" smartphone with internet. I love it. How can you go wrong for a $50 smartphone. Get the Geeksquad black tie protection for $15 to protect your investment. for 2 yrs......in case you drop it and your screen breaks like someone else. Sound is clear, screen touch is responsive, size is smaller than most phone (which I like). If you have big hands or sausage fingers you might have a prob. Read more

I mainly wanted to post that you do NOT have to register this with Verizon and pay for a $30 data plan. If you Google, you can find companies to activate the phone on Verizon and purchase cards/plans from them. I currently pay $12 for 250mins/250txt/10mb data (lol). Read more

this is my first 'smart phone' and i am deeply disappointed. palm themselves have tried to correct issues over the phone after at&t given up. apparaently you must exchange this phone atleast 3 times before warranty considers replacing it with a completely different model. the amount of time it takes customer service to agree there is a problem is lengthy and unwarranted repeating the dumping of software and reloadiong is verg aggravating. Great basic phone, easy to use and learn, qwerty keyboard great for small hands, not so great for large fingers. I think this is a brilliant phone, and it is the cheapest smart phone around I think? It's brilliant the fact it runs on it's own software, HP Web OS. It is an easy phone to get to grips with and it looks sleek and sexy. It isn't the fastest phone ever, and does struggle with the mulit-tasking. Although who needs more than about 3 tabs open at a time? I usually have my music, facebook & texts open at once and it seems to manage fine. Read more
