Summary: Not even close to a modern smart phone, but PALM really did make great phones with very little internal error or need for rebooting, etc. Can hold some apps. Kind of retro, but it was very low price.
A good start-up cell phone for young children and teenagers.

Summary: This is my third phone of this kind. I first had it a few years a go as my first smartphone. But now i see it as a mere start-up cell phone for young children who are texting all the damn time.It has very good call quality and great battery life. I was actually surprise it was still on the market and listed as NEW.
Summary: I was not able to use this phone with my current carrier so I can not rate it on it's functions but I can say it was a cool phone and looked like it would be fun and easy to use. It looked very durable and I certainly would have kept it if I had been able to sue it with my carrier. I sent it back and the merchant I purchased it from was great in providing me with all I needed to do so and also a quick refund.
Excerpt: Used this phone for 5 years. People are surprised that this phone has a touch screen and that I can browse the web (but it doesn't support Unicode), read PDFs (painful but possible), use facebook and google map, play AAC audio, record videos, and watch TV shows. PalmOS is a simple enough OS that the GUI was rather quick and responsive (although now it seems less perky; a problem that even a reboot doesn't help).
Love everything about it but the noise cancellation

Excerpt: Callers complain of background noise. They here my heals clicking down the hall, wind noise, other conversations going on around me. There is no good answer other than some techie answers to pay for a software download that will allow additional volume controls than what comes on the phone. Need to turn volume down for your callers but at the same time it makes if difficult for you to hear them. Use a bluetooth headset and it is much better.
Excerpt: I really do love my Palm Centro cell phone! I chose the rose pink one, because I like pink. It they had a purple one, I probably would have gotten it. It fits in the palm of my hand and the keys are easy for me to use. My husband doesn't like the phone because he says the keys are so close together that he can't hit the right one. However, for a woman who has small hands like I do, they are just right. I really love the touch screen.
Excerpt: Great cellphone, I had it for 2 years and it never broke nor had any software issues. I loved that the screen was tactile, but the one that you actually need to press instead of sliding your fingers over it, that is because it allowed me more control over what I wanted to touch and open.
My Palm Centro is an amazing phone w/touchscreen and keyboard!

Excerpt: My blue palm centro is awesome! I use my phone a lot not only for making calls, but texting and using the internet A LOT! It is great because it is rather small for a smartphone which is nice (I hate those big clunky ones). I also love that it has a touchscreen. It is a lot of fun and modern. It also comes with a stylus which is nice since the screen is pretty small and it can be hard to touch on the right thing sometimes.
Excerpt: I love my Palm Centro. The keyboard can be annoying but other then that i have nothing else bad to say about it. Not only an i easily text my friends, but i can surf the web, get onto my aim messanger, and check my email on it. It's like a mini computer.
