Summary: Good: * Battery life * 500 contacts * Favourites feature Poor: * NO synchronisation of contacts !!! * Installing SIM with multiple entries for each contact turns into Contact 1, Contact 2, Contact 3. i.e. no way of distinguishing home from office numbers, etc * Copying from SIM to phone results in double entries - big fun with Contact 1, Contact 2 * Management of To-Dos * Only one SMS draft possible at a time
Excerpt: To the hip generation of mobile users, you’ll probably miss a lot of things like wi-fi connectivity and such (it absolutely knows no 3G, even GPRS). But for my mom, where simplicity is key, the phone suits her needs. The Nokia X1-01 has the DNA of a basic symbian mobile that you and I have (don’t deny!) used long before smartphones were born.
Excerpt: Its damn good at 1.9k...after using 3g/touch screen mobiles for 4yrs. It has dual SIM, and big battery(1320mAh), also has microSD card slot for listening to songs. Battery comes for 1week with normal usage of 6hrs talk-time and 7hrs music/radio playback and with dual SIM's in standby. Sound quality is very good for radio/MP3 player. Loud speaker is really loud. It comes with 5 cool colors and the appearance is loud enough to mark it as an expensive set.
Excerpt: a very good normal basic phone ..shiny black color looks great ...easy to handle ..flat keys enhances typing comfort and great speed ..music player of this phone is so so ..dual sim functions well without any problem ..clearity in voice ..battery backup of this phone is great that it last2-3 days if you recieve 2-3 hrs calls a day ...
Good phone for money. But could have some "core" functions.

Summary: It is a good phone for money but it would be really nice if it had some core functions like screen brightness setting. It is not that this is some high technology as my older phone, much older phone had it already. Overall it is not a bad phone, really cheap, you can fit two sim cards in, so good when you travel abroad etc.
