Conclusion When the Nokia N97 was announced in January 2009, it looked awesome. Six months is an eternity in the world of technology, and now it looks like a fine phone and an easy choice for well-heeled Nokia S60 fans but it's no slam dunk for those who are open to other platforms and brands. The HTC Touch Pro2, available now as an import without US 3G or a US warranty will be available from all US carriers in the future and it certainly challenges the N97 in terms of... Read more

The Nseries represents the Finns' portfolio that pushes the envelope in terms of cutting-edge features. With HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth stereo and a bunch of connectivity options, you have a very capable smartphone with the N97. The specifications are great, but it's just not impressive in other aspects, especially when it comes to the user interface and applications, two things Apple has perfected. We also feel that the S60 software is dated, or perhaps having waited so... Read more

The bottom line: While the Nokia N97 is packed with features and offers the freedom of an unlocked phone, its clunky touch interface, sky-high price tag, and outdated operating system make it hard to recommend when there are better touch-screen smartphones on the market. Read more

I have been using this phone for a month and really REGRET getting it. Here's why: 1. When first I got the phone the Facebook apps is not working... what an ironic!! 2. OVi application sucks... the application is horrible 3. My battery drains out very fast, and there was one time I used up my batt phone in just 5 mins ( I noticed it when my hp got really hot). Went to NOkia center and said only software issue... But the fact is , I already using the latest... Read more

I use N97 for web access all day as it is not suitable for making calls, listening to music or taking photos. It has very bad signal, frequent call dropouts, a camera that takes photos with uneven lighting and sound quality on music player similar to a very cheap MP3. The phone software has many faults, with frequent 'blue screens' that can only be rid of by taking out the battery. Read more

NOTE: This is an unlocked phone being used in the USA (San Francisco) so my experience may not match everyones. I'm in sales so excercise my phone to the extreme, hopefully this review will prove a good resource for those looking for a good smart device and point them in another direction. And for the record I'm an intelligent person, it's this bleeping phone making me feel dumb in a market full of smarter phones. SLOW The most important thing that I wish I'd paid closer... Read more
