The super-capable N97 can do it all, but still lacks some of the polish of cheaper competitors. After the disappointment foisted upon us by Nokia’s last flagship phone, the N96 , we weren’t exactly holding our breath for the next N series model. What would have been a respectable smartphone based on specs alone fizzled and thudded alongside competitors like the iPhone 3G , T-Mobile G1 , and even a handful of gracefully reskinned Windows Mobile phones, making Nokia... • Somewhat cludgy touch screen; keyboard needs more tactile feedback; disappointing voice capabilities; symbian still too obtuse in places; price

The Nokia N97 is the flagship device of the manufacturer at the moment and Nokia vaunts it as being not only a top of the range device, but a “mobile computer” as well. This certainly gets things rather too far, since computers should be able to cope with wide variety of tasks these days. Read more

Long gone are the days when mobiles looked like swimming bricks and lasted five minutes before needing a full recharge. The Nokia N97 (free on contract) packs in music, video, web browsing, FM radio, a video camera and more, and represents the company's latest attack on Apple's iPhone. Read more

I must confess I'm a real fan of Nokia (6 devices in 10 years), this one is my favorite over all of them, pretty ease o use, good quality in sound, and excellent pics (5 MP), at least for me the touchscreen interface has woked fine. Read more

This is a really good phone but you will spend a bit of time setting it up, firstly it comes with books and phone settings in a different language, which makes it interesting getting it to English then it is all set up to a provider call TIM which again is all in another language. After loading the current software and setting it up for my provider i've nearly got it all worked out after a week of playing. Read more

If you are looking to use your phone to play video games, look elsewhere, otherwise, this phone is a multimedia powerhouse. It has 32GB built in and takes another 16GB in the microsd slot (I hear they're releasing a 32GB microsd card soon, bringing the total possible storage capcity up to 64GB) - no other smartphone can match that. Joikuspot software allows you to turn the phone into a 3G wifi hotspot. Read more
