Excerpt: The Nokia N97 Mini has a solid build, many good features and a very good camera. It's the everday usage like the internet, UI speed and freezing that poses an annoyance to this phone. The N97 Mini is nice smartphone, but too many shortcomings to really recommend this device. After 15 months as my primary phone, I've moved on to a Nokia N8 and what a HUGE difference in performance.
Pros: Excellent reception, sound, basic apps. I do not think it retains all of user information such as your contacts, location, etc. that other smart phones do. ATT does not recognize this as a smart phone, and allows unlimited 3G data for $10/mo instead of
Cons: Sometimes have to reboot if trying to operate 4 or 5 running applications at the same time (GPS, internet radio, web browsing and camera - all at the same time) Lack of other sources providing medical applications for Symbian.
Excerpt: its just a OK OK phone.... worst User Interface. and very bad battery life. better buy any android phone in the same price. it wont have n97 mini's multimedia capabilities but overall it would give a good experience. It would have been better if it had retained the FM transmitter from its big brother. But I must say it has the best speakers ever.
Pros: Excellent photo quality - 5mp with Carl Zeiss lens (f/ 2.8 is excellent for a phone) High screen resolution - 640x360px Well-designed QWERTY keyboard Music app is very easy to navigate FM Radio has good reception for a phone
Cons: Very rudimentary interface Processor is not built for what the phone demands from it Bluetooth and email service have major glitches that make them practically unusable Annoying alerts pop up repeatedly and cannot be disabled
Summary: This has been a great upgrade for me from a Nokia E61i. The only cons would be battery life is not as robust as my older phone but this phone does have way more options and capabilities so I cannot be too mad there. The other con for me is that the Ovi Store is lacking in widget options. Nokia needs to step there "app" game up for sure but this is a great phone with excellent reception!
Excerpt: I have Nokia N97 Mini with me from last 5 months. I bought it in Jan 2010.. Since then I am happily using this cell. The WOW factors about this phone: • Awesome classic design, I was impressed when I first saw the phone on nokia site and I was in love with this phone at first sight :) • Excellent QWERTY keypad. SMS, Email typing becomes very too easy. • The buttons on the keypad is soft and not so crammed..There is enough space between the buttons..
Excerpt: The Nokia n97 mini , a small brother of the Nokia n97, yet the definition of small brother really applies as the Nokia n97 mini is smaller and has a more stylish look than the n97, however To make a smaller version Nokia had to decrease the internal memory, battery power, and provide a smaller keyboard with navigation buttons.
