On the whole we are impressed with the N96. It offers noteworthy upgrades to its forerunner, such as the DVB-H tuner (not usable in the States) and 16GB of internal memory with further expansion, and the design is also greatly refined. Running S60 Feature Pack 3 gives the N96 the flexibility to handle most anything the user throws at it. With an overall capacity of 28GB of memory (and theoretical capacity for 48GB) and a large screen it serves as a worthy PMP... Read more

Without impressing too much through its design, Nokia N96 will probably be quickly forgotten in the favor of the new Nokia touchscreen phones. Fortunately, its maker has taken into account this possibility and has announced the new tier 1 device of the Nseries – Nokia N97. I consider the N96 slider a downgraded version of the N95 8GB, with a higher (unjustified) price. Read more

The bottom line: Though the Nokia N96 is a powerful all-in-one smartphone with an impressive amount of user storage, it's not a significant upgrade to the N95 and is outdone by new devices coming to market, including the Nokia N97. Read more

Although it lives up to its predecessor's fame, the N96's bulky design, a dated Web browser, and high price tag fail to match up to today's more sophisticated competition. Read more

I got this device hoping for something stable from Nokia for a change, but oh no, this thing crashes like nothing before it, even just turning it round and it locks up.. wifi.. locks up.. This seems to have lots of issues! Leave it a few months, let Nokia get their customers to beta test (as usual) then get it when its fixed.Nice size, nice weight, nice screen though Read more

The amount of rage stored in my battery after using this product was more than the energy stored in the batteries of the N96 after being charged all night. Very tempting to throw this phone against the wall while laughing wildly. Avoid this, get something that is easier to use (like chernobyl, a nuclear submarine, or the starship enterprise). Read more

Decent phone from Nokia. The camera part of the phone is pretty good although sometimes comes out very blurred but I suppose that is down to me rather than the phone. Signal strength seems to be pretty good, the area I live in struggles with some phones but with this one I seem to get an acceptable signal where ever I am in the house etc. The menus are pretty easy to use and are pretty self explanatory, although having said that to personalise my phone was a little be...
