Five Stars If You're Brainy Enough To Tweak It. Three Otherwise.

Summary: I was given the N900 phone two months ago after I repaired its screen and removed some valuable pictures, contacts, and files for a friend who had owned the phone since July, 2010. This is truly my favorite phone. For those who want a really good Android Phone that does most of what the N900 phone does, I recommend the LG G2. The G2 has a quad-core processor, infrared transmitter, FM radio, Android operating system, and is offered by most of the major phone carriers.
Summary: Nokia was years ahead of the rest with this device and anybody who uses Debian would love it. It may not have many of the modern features and development is slower since this device has been discontinued but you will never find another device like it unless the upcoming Ubuntu phones gain traction. This phone takes a bit of know-how to tweak to perfection and if you have the ability then it is very much worth it.
Summary: i have never been so satisfied with any nokia phones and i had several before i bought this one. 4 years i have it and i am still using it. it has great camera that shoots nice photos, touch screen is flawless, i don't even calibrate it. it is durable (dropped it several times no scratch). i have seen people install windows xp on this device somehow, not mentioning meego. but this matters if you like to tease your phone a bit.
Summary: If you buy this phone you only need data plan. Voice and SMS are transmitted as data also using VOIP with software like Skype and SIP clients. There two technologies, Skype and SIP are integrated as plugins. This means that when you want to make a free call you don't need to first launch as special app, but you choose the contact from you main (the only) contact list and then choose call type such as 1. Voice, 2. Skype, 3.Google Talk, 4.
Excerpt: ive been using this phone for 3 years, and believe me if nokia bring another meamo os, i'd but it without any hesitation, but it went for WP.. and there no phone in the market that tempts me enough to leave this amazing phone, espescially the android os phones for the UI its the best, and multi-tasking is real cool it should have got better specifications, like CPU, Touch Screen, Screen Resolution, RAM...
Pros: qwerty keyboard, multi-tasking, good camera but not that excellent
Cons: battery life, usb port is fragile, low processor
Excerpt: By far the best Nokia purchase i have ever made. The nokia N900 is a dream come true for a computer enthusiest like me. With a built in 32 Gb memory arm8 processor its built to do anything. It can be overclocked to 1.15Ghz. its like having a mini comuter in your pockets. The flexibility it has is amazing I run the native maemo operating system as well as android, ubuntu and windows 95.
Excerpt: I haven't used an I-Phone before but I can't believe that I-Phone can have even close to the computing poer N900 has. You can work on multiple applications at one time, just like you do on a computer, use a great camera, listen to great music, and do whatever else you like doing. The only problem I've faced util now is low battery life, which is somewhat predictable for a mobile device that lets one use multiple applications together.
Excerpt: This phone cost a little more but i think it was worth it. I no longer have trouble with reception like i did with my old phone. and the plan i got was better . Now if i just don't loss it i will be fine .
Excerpt: This was my first smartphone-- the first I actually shelled hundreds of dollars for. When I received it, I fell in love. The reason why I bought and love this phone is because of its ability as a PC. I'm no big computer geek, but I'm not computer illiterate either. When I got this phone, I just had to do a simple "ls" on the x-terminal just to make sure this was the real thing! The integrated Skype was a very sweet deal too.
