Excerpt: I have been using the N78 for about 6 months now. I was using the n82 [which was the best phone I've ever owned] but it did not support aT&T 3G network which was important to me. Thats when i switched. The N78 is basically an upgrade to the N73 [which was also a great phone].
Summary: I purchased this phone for a birthday present and the end-user seems to enjoy it. I use a N95 myself so I'm a little biased when I say I'd never own an N78, but if you're an average cell phone person and you want a good phone, the N78 is fine. However, the Nokia N79 is now out and is much better.
Pros: S60 operating system. FM transmitter. GPS. OTA updates. Price.
Cons: No accelerometer. Camera is for quick, small photos only. S60 FP2 is buggy and S60 FP1 applications are not 100% compatible.
Summary: I will choose K800 if it have wifi but too bad it doesn't But wifi is more important for me than camera.... Consider what you need.Choose what you like... good luck
Pros: Sleek and light design. I can download Podcast (build in) through wifi...Wifi is the reason i choose n78 over k800 both have 3.15mp Wifi work very good....I can surf web in school... S60 v3 is great. many useful application to download.
Cons: The camera quality 3.15 is bad...My P1i sony ericsson take better picture than this...
Summary: Its a great phone that does what one expects out of a phone well. But beyond this, it can do what one would expect out of an iPod and also what one would expect from a digital camera. I really only desire two more things out of a phone.
Pros: -Excellent music player -Great audio quality, both music player and talking on the phone -Screen is absolutely beautiful -Works on ATT 3G network -Internet feels faster than any previous 3G phone I had -Camera is autofocus -Symbian OS has lots of support on the internet -Nokia provides compatabil...
Cons: -Awkward placement of talk and end keys, they are placed right on the edge of the phone -Bluetooth sync with computer doesn't work until you cycle the bluetooth on the phone on/off -Camera is not as good as expected -Fingerprint prone
Excerpt: I just got this phone about a week ago and it is splendid so far. Before buying the n78,I noticed that most people were making a fuss about its battery cover, its ''awkard'' design and rather ''odd'' keypad. Contrary to such views, I find this phone perfectly framed from battery cover to keypad.
Summary: WATCH OUT FOR stores selling the lower-priced N78-1. This is the N78-3 and is the only N78 that supports U.S. 3G HDSPA frequencies. This phone looks beautiful. It feels a little cheap, but to me most Nokia phones do but still manage to hold up fine.
Pros: Looks amazing, latest S60v3 OS (FP2), fast CPU (400 Mhz), MicroSD, GFX hardware, Good WiFi and GPS, US 3G, nice menus, excellent browser and streaming support, SIP (VoiP), lit keys, standard jacks (USB, headphones), great skin, button locations are spread out (no accidental pressing), included ac...
Cons: Candybar ff may get scratched easier (very shiny front), plastic case feels cheap, a little large in the pocket.
Excerpt: Have owned my N78 for about a week now. My overall impression is that it's a good phone. I like it for the most part and have found my north American version (N78-3) used with AT&T to have found a 3G signal regularly every where I've been so far.
Excerpt: I think this N78 is cool . I bought it for a week and i think the phone is gd. PROS and CONs !!!!!!! PROS 1) Like the black colour and its design 2) Got MAPs which guide u to the destination u want while u are driving 3) Loud music and good audio player 4) When u view the menu and all the document u...
Excerpt: A great phone to use for any occasion. I have been using it for a few months now and after searching many a few different models similar to this I found this is the phone that met my needs. The main features that attracted me were the GPS feature with very nice looking maps that were easy to follow.
