Excerpt: I got mine in August, only to have it die in December... pro: good music sound, big screen; con: horrible battery life, outside music player buttons. If you do get an N 75, definitely read the reviews here to learn about optimizing battery life, which is what I did, but you may want to consider the 6650. I just got mine, so I can't offer a detailed review, but the battery life is wonderful!
Excerpt: I purchased this phone and had it's use for two weeks before the front LCD display died. It was sent back to Nokia and I was told it was from abuse. There wasn't a scratch on the phone. I was taking great care to keep it in good condition and it was getting better care than any other phone I have ever owned. Long story short the phone has been returned for repair and has been gone for three months.
Excerpt: This phone is great for only 2 reasons, it is a nokia, and the it is a great music phone. camera sucks compared to my sanyo katana dlx. Best two phones i have ever had are the sanyo scp8400 and the legendary nokia 6230i. The phone has a lot of options BUT some buttons are too sensitive and some are too small and its really slow at using the the options provided, so it gets pretty frusturating at times.
Excerpt: I love my N75. I hate my N75's battery. The phone is wonderful. Great reception, Sharp interface, I had the Cingular version and now the AT&T version, and good overall performance from the camera and the other features. I never really explored the music side but it ran a flash movie I built with ease. By beef with the device is the experience I have had with its' battery.
Excerpt: This phone is truly a great idea, but is definitely not characteristic of Nokia. As an owner of a small business with 8 line on Cingular/AT&T network, I have seen my Nokias get telephone reception while my Motorolas have none. I chose to upgrade from a 6102i to try to add data only to find the 3G network significantly less reliable. The 3G network is different than the what is used on a typical phone. My battery life is about 60% of the 6102i and about 40% of my 6030.
Excerpt: I really wanted to like the N75. It has a lot of potential...BUT... some flaws too. Pros: Ultra clear bright and large display Excellent signal reception (at&t) Very cool Cingular theme Full HTML Browser Flash Player Symbian OS Great video capture for a phone - You can see a sample of the N75 video here: http://danmobile.blogspot.com/2007/09/astro.html Cons: Poor battery life (had to recharge every day) Camera did not take impressive photos No recently used list for text...
Excerpt: I just got this on an upgrade, and it has been torture to set up and transfer files. Whats cool is it comes with software and the data cable. The OS is SLOWWWW! Sound is weak (LG 500 much louder!) It's heavier and the buttons are SMALL to navigate. I try to do one thing, and my finger hits another. Needless to say, i'm returning it.
Excerpt: I owned a Nokia 6230 for just over 2.5yrs. It was indestructible...well until the speaker finally quit recently. Forced to get a new phone, I picked up the Nokia 6126 last week because the AT&T store was out of the N75. Having had that phone a week I got my N75... After playing with it a week also, I'm returning it and going back to the 6126. All of the pros you'll find on other reviews are wonderful. The screen, customizability, ease of function, media controls, etc...
Excerpt: I have had this phone for about a month now and all I have to say about it is its "alright." Before owning this I had the Sony Ericsson S710a and the Sony beats this phone hands down. Cons: -SLOW operating system. Sometimes text messages take 30 seconds to open. Applications and menus ALWAYS take several seconds to open with no exceptions.
Excerpt: I have had 2 N75 units in one week and both do the same thing, will not boot the first time, menus not displaying and battery life is dismal if you use the browser. Also the sim card slot does not hold the sim card, the battery hits the release button (on both phones) and pops out the sim a little. I think that is causing the phone not to boot.
