Summary: Bought this phone as a replacement for broken Lumia 928 still under Verizon contract. You have to have a SIM card. The SIM card from my broken phone worked perfectly. It was easy to activate on Verizon network. I activated through chat on My Verizon. You have to have the EID number and SIM card number to activate. These numbers are easiest to find by looking in SETTINGS-ABOUT-more info.
Really nice phone, but seems I purchased a used one..

Summary: Edit: After speaking With MBC MOBILE; they offered to send me a replacement item. Their customer service rep was very helpful and fast. I really didn't dive much into the product before because I was upset, but I actually really like the phone. I had an iPhone 5 and dropped it which is the reason why I had to purchase a new phone. Coming from one OS to another I thought it would be difficult to learn, but I actually got a handle of it pretty quickly.
Summary: Excellent 4G CDMA Windows 8 phone for the price ($99). Much better than our previous 3G Droid Razr. Sharp, clear screen. Fast operating system. Great camera. Very pleased. Had to go to Verizon to get a SIM chip installed for free. Verizon was also very helpful with setup. Did not impact our existing Verizon contract.
Summary: the Nokia 822 far exceeded my expectations I was an abed IPhone user this phone is so much more fun to use with the windows 8 makes it exciting. I never thought I would enjoy a phone the way I am enjoying this Nokia.
