Summary: Windows Phone 8 is the best. I have a Windows 8 PC and once I got the Nokia Lumia 822, my Windows 8 experience got better. I can transfer files with ease. With the PlayTo option I can play videos and music to any compatible device, such as my Xbox 360, and watch them on a larger screen. Plus, with 7gb of SkyDrive, I can save my photos, PDF files, etc and view them on any Windows 8 device.
Pros: SIZE; Call quality (CNET's review says otherwise, but maybe there was an update); Sensitive touch; Nokia apps/support; Price; Runs smoothly (fast processor); Wireless charging; etc.
Cons: None for me, and I am a heavy user. CNET review says call sound is scratchy... maybe their was an update because the first call I made on it the person on the other end immediately commented on how good/clear my voice sounded.
"Great phone. Fourth Nokia I've owned. Impressed."
29 April 2013
Pros: Alright, I could go on and on, great battery life, LTE speed (35Mbps down and 15Mbps up, faster than my home internet), tiles are great, everything is organized and works smoothly. Solid phone, easy to fit in a pocket, etc. Call quality A++++
Cons: Sometime's won't load data in 3G, but reboot and it's fine. Lack of apps.
Summary: Lumia 822 is actually Lumia 820 which is now in ATT. Although it is supposed to be mid range Lumia phone, yet it has more features than HTC window 8X has. But, it is sold at only $49 instead of $199 HTC 8X. It has 16 GB storage ( Same is HTC 8X ), 8 Meg pix camera, same dual core processors as HTC 8X, The following feature Lumia 822 has while HTC 8X does NOT have: 1). Nokia drive can be used offline or connect to ATT. 2). Nokia map 3). wireless charge 4).
Pros: It has most of top notched feature as Lumia 920
Summary: Love this phone. I have to wait for the Lumia 920 (grrr, Verizon) and I was going to get the HTC 8x, but then after playing with both side-by-side in the Verizon store, I went over to BB Mobile and picked up the Lumia 822. Get the Nokia phone. The Nokia apps work perfectly with Windows Phone 8. The HTC phone doesn't. CAMERA: The camera on the 822 seems to work better than the Samsung GS3, in my opinion.
Summary: I have had my iphone 4 for about 2 years, before that I had the iphone 3gs and decided when the 4S came out I would wait for the iphone 5. When the iphone 5 came out I was disappointed and felt like I needed to change. I looked at Android phones but I found them annoying. I decided I would research the windows phones which ended up being the right time considering it was about a month before the windows 8 phones would launch.
