Its a great phone if you get one that is in operating condition.

Summary: The Nokia Lumia 820 could be a fantastic phone but the first one I received did not work correctly. The microphone did not work, so phone conversations had to be done with the headset. I received a replacement and that one does not recognize the SD card. I have to send that one back too. I like the phone and wish I could use it for more than a day.
Summary: Map Navigator is not working properly. Can not connect two points between CF and San Francisco. If you turn on the map, then as the traffic on Highway 101 is missing a large piece of map. Inconvenient camera button, each time switch to "search." You can not send MMS. You can not set your ringtone to call. In the folder "Music" can not create a play list. And many more. Probably, these phone will be better, but not now, I am so sad about it.
Summary: Don't buy the phone. It's pretty and will tempt you. But it is inconsistent. I'm very frustrated as to why some pictures I take can be attached to emails or uploaded onto SkyDrive and the others cannot leave the phone. I'm very frustrated about why some music I've downloaded from Xbox music marketplace will play on the phone and other times it will simply error out. It seems to me that Nokia or Windows Phone 8 doesn't have everything figured out just yet.
Pros: This phone gets the basics right. Texting is easy. Phonebook easily organizes your data in one spot. Call quality is good. Start screen with live tiles is good looking and interesting. Internet browsing is satisfactory and plenty of basic apps.
Cons: I bought this phone for the 64gb card slot. I wanted room for songs and pictures to interact with Facebook and be entertained on my long commute. Half of my pictures can't leave the phone and half of my music won't play. Error messages aren't helpful
Summary: I specifically ordered for a red phone got delivered a black phone but as i did not have time to return and wait for the red that i requested to be sent, i did keep the black. I was going away on holiday the following week. Black is not a colour for ladies especially that Nokia.
Common Nokia Lumia audio fault - Quality problem ?
11 January 2014
Summary: Had the same audio problem with this phone and its replacement from Amazon. Intermittently no sound from earpiece during a phone call - no dialing tone when calling someone, then can't hear each other when they answer. (Worked only with speakerphone) All 'fixes' on Nokia website don't work. A guy in a Nokia Care Centre seemed aware of the problem, and claimed to have fixed it by fitting a new earpiece speaker. Next day problem returned. So have returned second phone too.
Summary: The phone is very nice. Only windows os is moving slow. It can not compete with android and iOS. But the phone is for my mum, it can do all the work she needs. Love the phone. Delivery is not so good. The package is very loose, without any tape or fixings. It is very easy to take it out without break the box. And the phone box is not sealed neither. Really do not like this packaging.
Summary: I thought this Windows phone was fantastic up until the point where it started odd behaviour. when the phone was in standby mode it refused to wake up again. I had to remove and replace the battery. This started to occur more and more frequently, so I sent it back.
Summary: For initial 3 days I had a great experience with Lumia 820. Windows is awesome. However it now shuts down quite often automatically. Have not installed any updates or applications. Either it is the problem with windows 8 or the nokia hardware. Lot of users have reported this problem to Nokia but it is yet to respond. Until Nokia doesn't provide a permanent fix to this problem, suggest to stay away from this phone.
