Summary: I wanted an unlocked phone and wrote that specification when searching and so when this came up, I assumed it was unlocked, now I can't use it because it's locked and I will need about 47-50 dollars to unlock it. Also I can't use an ad card on it.
Summary: I bought this product because it received great reviews on CNET. However, there were issues I did not anticipate. I will start with the positive and then go with the negative. Pros: Product arrived a day earlier than expected using Amazon free shipping.
Summary: This is a very nice looking phone. The windows system is very visually pleasing. I didn't realize it does not offer wi fi calling which makes phone calls in the boonies out of the question. Every I talked to on it complained that I sounded muffled.
Summary: The phone was clearly labeled as UNLOCKED. That's why I bought it. Only to discover it was LOCKED to T-Mobile. I eventually got it unlocked 2 weeks and $25 later, but I was disappointed in the deception. Other than that, the phone is a decent one.
Summary: I have always had Nokia in the past and thought the 710 would be a great introduction into the app world. However, if I have to relay a phone number to someone I cant even see the number and even the name is touch and go.
Summary: First the positives. This is a cheap, fast and efficient phone. The Windows Phone OS is slick and easy to use. The app store - despite grumbles you may read elsewhere - is full enough of all the apps you should need. Battery life isn't an issue either.
