Summary: I wanted an unlocked phone and wrote that specification when searching and so when this came up, I assumed it was unlocked, now I can't use it because it's locked and I will need about 47-50 dollars to unlock it. Also I can't use an ad card on it.
Summary: I bought this product because it received great reviews on CNET. However, there were issues I did not anticipate. I will start with the positive and then go with the negative. Pros: Product arrived a day earlier than expected using Amazon free shipping. Handset was a good size and weight for a smartphone. Pictures were excellent. (I am not able to rate the video quality because I did not use this feature.
Summary: This is a very nice looking phone. The windows system is very visually pleasing. I didn't realize it does not offer wi fi calling which makes phone calls in the boonies out of the question. Every I talked to on it complained that I sounded muffled.
Summary: The phone was clearly labeled as UNLOCKED. That's why I bought it. Only to discover it was LOCKED to T-Mobile. I eventually got it unlocked 2 weeks and $25 later, but I was disappointed in the deception. Other than that, the phone is a decent one.
Summary: I have always had Nokia in the past and thought the 710 would be a great introduction into the app world. However, if I have to relay a phone number to someone I cant even see the number and even the name is touch and go. There is no app to increase the size on the size of the main tiles which wasnt an issue to begin with. Everything else is fine, and easy to use just I find this to be an annoying issue .
Summary: Battery does not last long enough, having to charge every two days and I'm not a big user of the phone. When battery goes low the screen looks to lack enough power to keep it going, looks like it is about to fail. (or is it a fault with the phone??). Good screen size but why are all the words and information so small and no way to increase the font size??????
