Nokia Lumia 625

Channel5
4 October 2014
  • Summary: If you’re after a super cheap 4G phone on contract, and you value an easy to use operating system over staying on the bleeding edge or being able to use all of the latest trendy web services, you really can’t go wrong with the Nokia Lumia 625. Sure, the screen isn’t spectacular, and the Google Nexus 4 is better value SIM-free, but if you’re happy with Windows Phone, you’ll love this solidly built, delightful device.

  • Excerpt: It has a lot more to offer than just its multiple brightly-colored shells, which are replaceable and available in white, orange, green, yellow, and black. Being the predecessor to the Nokia Lumia 620, the 625 comes with a sleek body and smooth contours which altogether make for an easy grip thanks to the Polycarbonate material and matte coating that make the shell extra soft to touch.
  • Pros: Great Windows Phone 8 features and sufficient battery life. Excellent price. Clean design.
  • Cons: A bit heavy.

Nokia Lumia 625 Review

noypigeeks.com
13 December 2013
  • Summary: Despite some of my caveats, I like the Nokia Lumia 625 overall. While it’s a downer that they made the battery harder to access and to not include NFC, it makes up for it with some welcome upgrades, such as the bigger screen size (I can’t stress this enough). At around PHP 12,500 – PHP 13,000, it’s at a good value. It doesn’t entirely supplant its predecessor, but there’s enough goodies there to make it more sensible to buy this over that.

However if this is phone doesn’t have everything you’re looking for and if your budget can handle another 1000 EGP, then you should consider one of its predecessors, the Lumia 925.
  • Pros: Practical size, colorful design, reasonable price and Microsoft Office availability.
  • Cons: Limited RAM space, average display and basic camera.

The sheet is not exaggerated is not a problem in daily and is well proportioned to the price, although we would have liked a higher amount of RAM. Excellent is the connectivity, thanks to the inclusion of 4G format. However, for the screen, in which the economic nature of this device stands out more clearly.

Review Nokia Lumia 625 Smartphone

Notebookcheck
16 September 2013
  • Summary: The new mid-range. No matter if entry-level or high-end smartphone - Nokia always has the right model in its Lumia series. The newest member of the family is the Lumia 625. Online retailers already sell the mid-range model for the competitive price of 250 Euros (~$334).
  • Pros: Sturdy, high-quality case, Fast internet via LTE, Video recording in 1080p resolution, Intuitive operation of Windows Phone 8, Memory expandable via SD card, Good battery runtimes, Despite the official bargain price of 299 Euros (~$399), the Nokia Lumia 625 is no cheapo: high-grade processing, LTE, a good display and long battery runtimes speak for the mid-range smartphone.
  • Cons: Highly reflective display, Only 5 GB memory space, No replaceable battery, Even though the Lumia 625 is equipped with a big 4.7-inch LC display it has a resolution of a comparatively meager 480x800 pixels. On top of that, the battery cannot be replaced but is permanently connected to the case.

Review: Nokia Lumia 625

CNET
9 February 2013
  • Summary: Despite a few faults, the Lumia 625’s smooth, higher-end design and solid performance make it a great value for the price.
  • Pros: The Nokia Lumia 625's 4.7-inch screen makes for effortless viewing, and the US$300 price tag its wallet-friendly for an unlocked phone. Depending on your area, it also supports LTE.
  • Cons: For a phone of its size, the Lumia 625's too-low resolution is fuzzy and dull compared to premium Lumias. The 625's 5-megapixel camera struggles taking photos in the shade.

Nokia Lumia 625 Review: 4G Connectivity On The Cheap

Know Your Mobile
28 November 2014
  • Summary: Nokia’s Lumia 625 is a solidly built handset for the price. You’d be hard pressed to find 4G connectivity on a cheaper handset. Battery life has also been improved significantly. The display just isn’t up to scratch though and lets the handset down on the whole.
  • Pros: 4G connectivity, low price, better battery than predecessor, swappable back panel
  • Cons: Poor display resolution, thicker than other smartphones
