Summary: So far I like the phone, the only thing I don't like is that because I kept my carrier I had to go though so much to activate the phone and I still can' receive or send picture messages and this is after I spoke with two different reps who gave me two different set of directions.
Summary: Pretty powerful for a starter phone. Comes in with W8, Make sure to update to W8.1! I force updated mine via software update. Be aware that not all apps on google play and appstore are available on the windows store.
Summary: This phone is just amazing. This is my first windows phone and I'm thinking of upgrading to a Nokia 1020 because the phone is just amazing, the speed is lightning ⚡ , the apps on the store are limitless even tho they could use a few more developers and the phone is just something fresh and new. I'm tired of seeing iPhones limited customizability. I'm tired of androids same phone bigger screen. And I'm tired of overpriced aluminum.
Summary: Nokia Lumia 521 is a good entry level Windows phone. I was looking for a phone that would show me the ins and outs of the Windows Phone and this was a nice affordable option. I run Windows 8.1 on my home computer, I own an android phone and support iphones at work so I felt it would be an important step to be able to advise users on what a Windows phone has to offer. The apps open seamlessly through the interface.
Summary: Solid phone for cheap. Has a lot more memory than other phones in this price range. Windows operating system takes a bit to get used to, but is generally fast and responsive. It doesn't have Windows 8.1 on the Metro PCS network yet, but you can get it through developer preview if you really want it. If you are used to other operating systems, be prepared for the lack of supported apps. For the price, this is a great phone.
