Finally, a replacement for my trusted Nokia E90

mobility.com.ng
10 May 2010
  • Excerpt: In March last year, I declared the 2007-released Nokia E90 to be my All-round Champion device . In this article, I draw direct comparisons between features on the Symbian-powered Nokia E90 and the Maemo-powered N900. Business-wise, the N900 is up to speed with a 3.5″ WVGA display at 800 × 480 pixel resolution (the E90 sports 4.0 inches at 800 x 352 pixels). While the E90′s display is larger, it is narrower, making the N900 display more usable.

Nokia E90 Mini Review – Still the All-round Champion?

mobility.com.ng
7 March 2009
  • Excerpt: For a device that was released in June 2007, this would look like a late – and probably unnecessary – review. That may apply if we were putting the spotlight on any other less capable mobile device. Not so the E90. What is really amazing is that almost two years after release, and it is my informed opinion that very few devices released in that space of time are as well-rounded and offer as much value for money as this one, making the E90 the undisputed the king of the...

Among other things, the update improves the browser such that videos embedded in web pages can be watched directly. This means that users can now watch U-tube and other similar videos directly online. It is beautiful and a great bonus to an already excellent device. Here’s a shot clip you can download to see the new improved browser in action.

Nokia E90 Communicator Review

Softpedia
11 October 2008
  • Excerpt: It took Nokia almost 3 years to refresh its Communicator series, which made as some of the best smartphones targeting businessman class, back in 2004-2005. Those that are more used with Nokia's Eseries handsets won't be disappointed either, as the new Nokia E90 Communicator is a strong link between the two business series.
  • Pros: The device has so many strong points that the list could be very long. But some of it worths to be mentioned: incredible big display, very good camera, fast and stable software, powerful processor, good multimedia features and good battery. Even the new design seems to be fitting the device very well, so Nokia E90 can be mentioned as a whole like one of the best smartphones on the market.
  • Cons: There are few things that can be listed as 'negative' regarding E90's functionality. Perhaps that depends on everyones tastes also, especially if we take in consideration that this is far from being a small and light device. Aside from that, I should also mention the fact that the main display touches the keyboard when you close the phone, thus damaging the screen in time. Also it can be annoying when you use the smartphone in darker areas, as the first row of keys, p...

Nokia E90 Communicator

PC Magazine

  • Conclusion: The E90 is a hulking, top-notch, all-business smart device for those with deep (and large) enough pockets.
  • Pros: Stellar voice quality. Heavenly keyboards, screens, and controls. Wi-Fi and GPS radios. Robust built-in applications. Unlocked.
  • Cons: Extremely expensive. Enormous. No touch-screen capability. No 3G support in the U.S.

Nokia E90 Review

mobilementalism.com
28 July 2008
  • Conclusion: In conclusion, the Nokia E90 isn’t just one of the best-equipped smartphones on the market today, it’s also one of the most usable. Every feature on it works exactly like you’d hope it would, with full screen Web browsing, photography, video recording, musical playback and document editing all working superbly. The only feature that doesn’t perform too well is the GPS, which is far too slow to be of any use for real-time navigation.
