Summary: I have been using the phone for a few weeks now and highly recommend it. The phone has many excellent features, such as 3M-pixel camera with flash, video, auto-rotate, and WIFI. The design is not as bulky as many other smart phones and yet the screen and keyboard are a decent sizes, since it is a slider. Lack of QWERTY keyboard doesn't bother me since most of my text messages are fairly basic and I have large fingers that are not suited to tiny keys.
Summary: I bought the Nokia E66 four weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 3.2M-pixel camera. The size is perfect. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.
Excerpt: this phone is good because it gives you access for almost all business features & ofcourse all peeps doesnt want full keyboard for the phone. so it can be use in two ways, business & casual as well.. i dont know why people doesnt like the look of the phone.. but i say its really good looking sober phone, i have seen lot of slides phone but this slide is really great.. i didnt expect this much effective when i was buying the phone..
Summary: I used an N95 previously and having lost it, I bought the E66 as its replacement. I find the E66 easier to use. The uni-directional slide I found more convenient than the N95's bi-directional arrangement. It feels like a serious device and not a toy as the N95 feels. I wished the E66 had a 5.2 megapixel camera.
Excerpt: After 6 weeks with it, I have mixed feelings. It is a good phone in its class? Yes. But... Extra processing power and speed comes in expense of battery. Packed with many new features, some from the feature pack2, but not something really exciting. Solid construction an good choice of materials with only objection on the cheapo plastic power button. Good keyboard and illuminated side buttons, software controlled to indicate what you need to press and when.
Pros: * Fast CPU. Almost twice as fast of E65, * Typical resolution of its class but larger and more bright display than its predecessor., * Sleek design and solid construction gives a feel of luxury on hand., * Realy fast internet browsing over HSDPA and WiFi. Convenient browser features like as auto-rotate., * Accelerator sensor that's make it easier to use on picture and web browsing features.
Cons: * Cheap looking and feel power button., * Some applications are completelly buggy. Eg. barcode scanner not working even under sunlight (tested with many different codes also)., * GPS voice navigation doesn't comes free. Often failed to create a correct route. Same map code with older version of navigation software on E65 performed better (and free of charges)., * Fingerprint magnet., * Battery life's not as expected.
Nokia E66 - A fast and Cheap mid-range smart phone
2 September 2011
Excerpt: Nokia E66 mobile phone I've owned the E66 for the past year or so and during that time, it has served me well. Hardware - Appearance / case / battery Targeted primarily at the business user, it has a solid feel to it. On the outside, it has a metal casing apart from the keys which are plastic which I have found quite handy. I tend to drop my phone quite a lot and so far it is still working fine. It looks pretty stylish and I wouldn't say it was all that big.
Pros: Very fast, metal casing, free in - built GPS navigation software
