Summary: As a long time Nokia and Wifi Calling/UMA user, I am very disappointed in the C7 Astound. Now, granted, some of my issues seem to be inherent in most touch screen smart phones. And I do come from almost a decade of using non-touch screen Nokia Communicators and a few that were not Communicators. Some history for comparison: In May of 2011 I bought an Android TMO MyTouch 3G.
Summary: THE GOOD - Thin, smooth, and sleek but hefty - the feel is one of quality - 8 megapixel camera that takes beautiful photos - Excellent video as well - NFC built in - Responsive, vibrant touchscreen - Multiple customizable home pages - Easy to view everything important on one homescreen - email, calendar, Facebook and Twitter feeds, missed msgs/events - Time always viewable even when locked - Free maps and navigation thanks to Navteq THE NOT SO GOOD - Doesn't have the app...
Summary: I bought this phone four months ago. Pros: It looks good.Is rugged. I have dropped it couple of times, accidentaly and still it did not have any scratches or blemishes. The touchscreen interface is good. Good Battery life. Call quality is good. Applications are fast. Games are fast and dont get stuck like they do on my other Nokia 5530. Web Browser interface is good. The zoom in zoom out is just like iphones.
Summary: The reception on this phone is much better than my previous Samsung. But two weeks after getting it, there is a layer of dust under the glass. I'm not real happy with that. Also, the teeny tiny keyboard means going back and correcting texts. I have small fingers and still have problems.
Summary: The Nokia C7 is a nice Phone........But. I have only had the phone a couple of days, I charged it up fully when I got it. But only after a few hours it completely freeze on me (whilst charging) and I could not do anything at all and then it turned itself off. This problem keeps happening. Once every so often might not have been a problem, but this was happening at least twelve times a day.
