Excerpt: The Nokia C6 has been around for some time now, its Nokia's mid range smart phone which is almost identical to the N97 mini, which was previously a part of its high end segment. The Nokia C series consists of their more affordable range of phones that do well for the masses and are not short of features too. In other words, its like the "VFM" series they got.
Summary: Nokia's C6-01 never seemed to catch the popular mood in the same way the E7 or the N8 has, but it has its dedicated fans. I'm one of them, and it's time to look back on the rise (and fall) of the C6 in my pocket, How did it get there, why did it stay there so long, and ultimately what pushed it out and into the “spare” pocket of my rucksack?

10 July 2011
Conclusion: But if you’re the kind of person who’s satisfied with a few top apps on the phone and don’t need anything else, the phone is an excellent choice – it’s durable, reliable, it looks good and it works perfectly fine – it’s a Nokia!
Conclusion: The Nokia C6-01 is a solid-looking phone with a good camera that has an exhaustive range of settings. However we feel that, as with the Nokia N8, good hardware is let down by unresponsive software and slow loading times.

Pros: Beside its premium look and solid build, the C6-01 is an all-rounder in all aspects. It does good pictures, excellent audio quality, outstanding data speeds and includes the best hardware that the Finnish manufacturer can muster. HSDPA 10.2 Mbps and HSUPA 2 Mbps support, ClearBlack AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 8 megapixel camera, DivX and XviD video support, Flash and Java support for the web browser, as well as excellent audio quality are among the strong points of...
Cons: The worse things about the C6-01 is the low battery life, as well as the 'unattractive' mobile platform. Fixed-focus for camera and the lack of a document viewer are other downsides of the phone. Summary: In the second part of his review of Nokia's new C6 (here's part 1 ), David Gilson looks at its camera and multimedia software bundle.
