Conclusion: The Nokia C6-00 is a great mid-range touchscreen phone with a good camera and a slide-out keypad that’s easy to type on. It’s not however a great phone for browsing the web or checking Facebook on, although it stands up well as a portable email device.
Conclusion: The Nokia C6-01 is a solid-looking phone with a good camera that has an exhaustive range of settings. However we feel that, as with the Nokia N8, good hardware is let down by unresponsive software and slow loading times.
Nokia C6-01 – a small, stylish global phone powered by Symbian S^3 – review
10 July 2011
Conclusion: But if you’re the kind of person who’s satisfied with a few top apps on the phone and don’t need anything else, the phone is an excellent choice – it’s durable, reliable, it looks good and it works perfectly fine – it’s a Nokia!
Conclusion: Even though the C6-01 is nothing out of the ordinary, the smartphone is definitely better equipped than its competitors. All those Nokia innovative features like ClearBlack screen and USB-on-the-go make it much more appealing than most of the phones in the mid-budget category. The device offers the best value for money, which is a rare thing for a Nokia smartphone that usually tend to be overpriced.
Pros: Beside its premium look and solid build, the C6-01 is an all-rounder in all aspects. It does good pictures, excellent audio quality, outstanding data speeds and includes the best hardware that the Finnish manufacturer can muster. HSDPA 10.2 Mbps and HSUPA 2 Mbps support, ClearBlack AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 8 megapixel camera, DivX and XviD video support, Flash and Java support for the web browser, as well as excellent audio quality are among the strong points of...
Cons: The worse things about the C6-01 is the low battery life, as well as the 'unattractive' mobile platform. Fixed-focus for camera and the lack of a document viewer are other downsides of the phone.
Summary: In the second part of his review of Nokia's new C6 (here's part 1 ), David Gilson looks at its camera and multimedia software bundle. Although there's little here that's actually new, what's surprising is the C6's speed - it seems that S60 5th Edition is now pretty well optimised in this regard.

All About Symbian

Summary: One of the most difficult things to judge about the C6-01 (and as in the previous part of this review, for now it's just referred “C6”) is how much of a difference the Symbian^3 version of the OS makes to the user experience, and specifically for someone coming to Symbian for the first time. In the second part of our review, the C6 software comes under the spotlight.
