Nokia Astound (T-Mobile)

PC Magazine
12 May 2011
  • Conclusion: The Nokia Astound is a great value for an 8-megapixel camera phone, but its app selection doesn't measure up to Android's.
  • Pros: Beautiful hardware. 8-megapixel camera. Good voice quality. Excellent e-mail support. Some high-quality apps.
  • Cons: OS can be difficult to use at times. Some crashes. Very tiny keyboards. Fewer apps than Android or Windows Phone.

Nokia Astound Review

Brighthand
11 May 2011
  • Summary: The Nokia Astound comes off as both a solid value, and a slightly marred product. It certainly has the features to compete with any smartphone available, and aside from some user interfface quirks and the camera, its probably better than even devices costing a bit more. It is going to suffer from a perception issue -- at least initially -- but like the Nokia E73 Mode (also offered by T-Mobile) -- it will not hurt Nokia's reputation.
  • Pros: Very good screen, Quality built-in applications, Excellent battery life
  • Cons: Learning curve to some default apps, Poor camera images, Small number of apps compared to other mobile platforms

Nokia Astound (T-Mobile)

CNET
4 January 2011
  • Summary: The Nokia Astound is a beautifully designed and affordable smartphone for T-Mobile, but there are other budget-friendly options available with better performance and that are easier to use.
  • Cons: The smartphone can be sluggish and the Symbian 3 operating system is still behind the curve in ease of use and functionality.
