Excerpt: Remember those first Nokia mobile phones? They where massive! A lot has changed since then, phones kept getting smaller and smaller until Nokia came with their communicator, the communicator had almost the exact same size as their first models and I remember people making fun of me for my 'old' bulky phone, until I opened it up to reveal the full keyboard and massive screen!
Excerpt: This phone came under a lot of criticism when it was first released a few years ago and yes it has now been superseded by a smaller faster handset (the Nokia 9500) but this was and still is an amazing handset. It really is like having a shrunken version of your office laptop (although I have yet to see a laptop that has half of this phones features) enabling uncomplicated access to the FULL internet (not grainy slow WAP), access to e-mail using POP3 enabled accounts, the...
Excerpt: IT's About Nokia......(I Think this information will be enough for you to buy computer mobile that is NOKIA 9210i COMMUNICATOR) The Nokia IPSec VPN Client allows mobile corporate users to establish secure, reliable, trusted connections from their Nokia 9210i Communicator directly to their corporate Intranet and its critical resources.
Pros: U can use sms,fax,email,web,wap,office,spreadsheet,real on player,fax modem,hasndset,handsfree
Excerpt: First impressions: Brick, i can't believe nokia made it Second impressions: actually this isn’t half bad My dad got this phone from work about 4 months ago, so he didn’t have to pay for it which was nice, for him anyway bad for me i have just listen to him whining bout the boss all day.
Excerpt: Right where do I start, rather than boring you with all the things this phone does, I'll try and outline what I've found useful. If I tried to cover everything the 9210 Communicator did you'd be here till next wednesday still reading and hey I mean that. Don't get me wrong it is a fantastic piece of craftsmanship, but at this point I'd better say it is rather large compared to the average mobile phone.
Excerpt: While the Nokia 9210 is a great device in itself, it is flawed by the internal keyboard and the slow synchronization. Considering the built-in functionality and platform strength, the high price is justified should you really need a communicator this capable - but chances are then that you'd like to do some serious work while you're on the road with it, and if that involves much writing you'll be in trouble.
Excerpt: I bought my Nokia 9210 just when they came out 2001. Since then, I have been unable to even think of upgrading it or even buying a new mobile phone. Nothing has come out to match up what the 9210 does. I still get heads turning when I answer or make call on it, talk about gadgets! First thing you notice is the finely curved silver brick you would think is a TV remote.
Pros: A Web browser, email & word processor, PDA and many other office applications .
Cons: The size is quite big, lacks GPRS and Bluetooth
Excerpt: Do you have a phone AND a PDA? If the answers "yes" then you'd probably be better off with the Nokia 9210 Communicator. It is a perfectly good mobile phone with good reception, excellent battery standby time, easy text messaging via a QWERTY keyboard and standard WAP functions. It's also a perfectly good PDA, incorporating a word processor, spreadsheet, movie player, WAV player, calculator, contacts directory, calendar, calculator and a few other goodies besides.
Pros: a phone and PDA in one, hi - res colour screen, lots of downloads available
Excerpt: I bought one of these as my work phone just over a year ago - expensive it certainly was! I was unable to get a 9110 so paid a cool 399 pounds for the colour screen 9210. Being a bit of an old fart, I have trouble with the really small phones - short of having a child's fingers grafted onto each hand I had to find something where I only pressed one button at a time.
Excerpt: With all the talk of bluetooth, Cameras on phones and colour screens, the supposed "next generation" phones never quite delivered the goods when they were released about 2 or 3 years ago. The big innovation from Nokia was this phone which folded in half to reveal a small PC within your phone. I was sceptical but at work, we were given them free to try about 6 months ago. I gave mine a good going over and here are the results (although rather late!). Looks/design.
