Excerpt: This phone was a good phone when it first came out, but now its just outdated. Pros: Easy to use Good reception Good battery life Practical Features Cons: Small screen NO color No camera NO web browsing Polyphonic Ring Tones *Ugly (my personal opinion*
Excerpt: very very good phone, lasted a very long time, i could probably still use it if i wanted to, ive had it for 3.5 years before i upgraded to the Nokia 3250. Very reliable. And its a good size, fits smug in the pocket.
Summary: Still just a basic phone like the nokia 5165 except smaller. It has a blue screen and isn't one of the gsm phones, but is very stable with the signal and works wonders with prepaid service. I like the changeable faceplates for these phones.
Excerpt: Had this phone for several years now; entire family has one too. Just fyi: went through the trouble of switching out for a GSM Nokia 3200, touted as a great phone...well, 4 out of 4 us had many reception & service problems w/ATT's GSM network; unanimous..
Excerpt: You don't see a lot of long-term ownership reports on Phonescoop, but as my 8265 approaches 2 years, I thought I'd share how reliable this phone has been for me. I've gone through 5 headsets for this phone but the phone itself remains as solid as a rock.
Excerpt: PROs: excellent reception, durable(I've had for almost 2 years and dropped so many times and still works fine), changable covers CONs: cover scratches easily, talk time is only average (maybe 3 hours)
Excerpt: I've had the Nokia 8265 phone for just over a year now. It's my 4th Nokia phone - why is it they all seem to die/break just after the warranty expires? Overall, I have really enjoyed this phone but just after a year I'm picking up horrible (LOUD) static on just about all calls.
