Nokia 7600 ensures a good connection quality, which is no surprise because of a standard platform. The model has a 24-tone polyphony (against 4 to 16 tones in other Nokia phones). The synthesizer supports MIDI format and ensures a high sound volume. The vibrocall is powerful; it has a medium frequency and a large amplitude. Most vibrations are generated in the lower part of the phone, they go from the front to the reverse side and back. Read more

Looking like an avante garde lemon and with an unusual key layout, the 7600 won't appeal to everyone. Its stylised menus match its fascia, but navigation turns out to be quite intuitive after a surprisingly short time. Interesting features include an MP3 player (though 30MB memory limits its appeal), MP3 ringtones and it can be used for 3G video downloading, but you can't videoconference with it. Read more

Stylish phone users beware, the Nokia 7600 is bound to attract your attention from just one look. The totally re-designed look of the 7600 totally isolates the phone from other handsets on the market, and gives it a new edgy look. Don’t just judge a book by its cover though; the Nokia 7600 is more than just a pretty face. It gets better when you look deeper - with heaps of useful features. Read more

  1. The Ugliest Phone Ever?

During the almost two years that I was stuck with this phone due to a horribly restrictive imprisonment contract with the odious 3 network , I complained about it all the time. After all it is one of the weirdest-looking mobile phones in history, and extremely difficult to use at first - try sending a text at even half the speed that you usually do, operating the linear columns of number keys. But - and I never thought I'd say this - I actually miss it these days. Read more
