Excerpt: The Nokia 7510 was recently released and there are a few key features to this economical device. The key feature to the Nokia 7510 is the ability to use Rogers Talkspot. This, for a monthly fee, allows you to make unlimited calls when you are in your “home calling zone” (30 meters) without wasting your
Excerpt: The Nokia 7510 Supernova is a phone that Nokia has taken to the next level as far as lighting and design goes. In this review we take a look at the features that make the Nokia 7510 a great phone which has a personality to match.
Excerpt: Candy bar phones are en vogue right now, but there are still plenty of positives to recommend traditional flip phone models as well. The Nokia 7510 is a nice, slightly retro representative of the latter category that subtly conveys style over substance. The handset isn’t going to impress any longtime phone users, but it proves to be a solid alternative to the abundance of Swiss army knife mobiles out today.
Pros: Changeable colors; solid design; cool shell
Cons: Average functionality; Unimpressive camera; High price for a non-smartphone
Review of Nokia's stylish flip phone 7510 for T-Mobile
2 March 2009
Excerpt: The Nokia 7510 for T-Mobile is a stylish folder handset that sports a 2 megapixel camera with LED flash and a microSD card for extra storage. It has a simple design and decent features that include a 2.2-inch QVGA display. Check out the complete review for more details.
Conclusion: It’s good to see T-Mobile adding a little pizzazz to its feature phone line. The Nokia 7510 has the right ingredients for a low-priced phone: it’s quad band, has a cool faceplate design, excellent voice quality and a good media player for music and video. Higher end shoppers will note the lack of GPS, YouTube playback and 3G support; but the phone boasts a very good web browser and UMA calling to gain points back.
Pros: Good looking phone, slim and sturdy. Good reception and voice quality. UMA calling is a huge plus for those who talk a lot on the phone but don’t want to use up their mobile minutes. Great media player for music and video playback. Excellent speaker and very sharp and bright display. The phone has a very good web browser.
Cons: The keypad is too slippery and flat for fast typing or blind dialing. Wi-Fi drains battery very fast. Currently no way to get Opera Mini and Google Maps running. T-Mobile download portal is sometimes flaky.
Summary: The 7510 Supernova isn’t a particularly loud phone, in many situations you will find its alert volume insufficient, which is our main gripe with this phone. In terms of reception quality it does just fine; the vibro alert is nothing to write home about either. All in all, you are unlikely to miss a call with the 7510 while in a quiet environment, but on noisy streets or parties it fares much worse.
