Nokia 6650

ril97, Ebay
20 March 2010
  • Summary: I decided to buy because my LG CU920 was not working properly anymore. I bought this as a backup phone while waiting for the contract to finish with AT&T. I found out like many people has pointed out. The layout for the Media NET and GPS key are located in a place where for those who don't want to use those feature will at some point accidentally push the button.

buyer beware

jessie strauss, Phone Arena
10 February 2010
  • Excerpt: Hello, First of all I would like to say that I have owned other Nokias that were great, the 6650 falls far short from hitting the mark.  I am now on my three 6650 replacement from my cell phone carrier, all three phones have either had issues with bluetooth connections, the mic made it seem like all my conversations were in a wind storm, or worse the phone would just lock up. Seems the phones are made in mexico, quality issues abound. I am not hard on my phones either.
  • Pros: battery life
  • Cons: sub par build quality

Decent phone, but far from perfect

jkl1111, Phone Scoop
10 December 2009
  • Excerpt: I have had this phone for 6 months now. (Before this, I had a Sony Ericsson W300i that I loved.) Pros: - The Nokia 6650 is a good size - flat and narrow, but a bit long. - The speaker volume is adequate. - The camera is decent, but the flash is poor. - It picks up signal great, even in low-signal areas (AT&T, central Illinois). - It has a sturdy hardware design and nice screen quality. - There is no antenna stub, or arch or anything to disrupt the phone's silhouette.

  • Excerpt: I was really interested in this phone and hated that I couldn't buy it unlocked. I checked it out at AT&T and they took out the FM radio in hopes of you paying for their radio service. In the box I was given it only had the phone and charger, no earphones, no card, no usb cable. They also brought it out in silver and red only with no plans I was told of bringing it out in black which is the color I was interested in.
  • Pros: its a Nokia with s60 3
  • Cons: AT&T GOT HOLD OF IT!!!!!!!!!
