Excerpt: What a joke of a phone. Nokia STILL designs phones with an unalterable screen timeout? 10 seconds, and the screen disappears. Compose a message? - TIMEOUT. Play a game? - TIMEOUT. Use the camera? - TIMEOUT. Do *anything*? - TIMEOUT. And the key you press to get the screen back will perform a function you don't want.Don't go near this phone.
Summary: hello! this was the best effort of making new 6600 all features listed were good enough to catch the eyes but still more a very essential would be that it should be a 3g complete mobile phone please introduce wi-fi and touch screen.
Excerpt: "...If you are new to Nokia it might take a moment but it's pretty straight forward. I set everything up and tested the camera by taking a photo of something (think it was the cat). The photo took and as I was looking at it the screen went onto standby. I pressed the main keypad button to wake it back up and again within 20 seconds or so it happened again. I tried and tried to stop this from happening so quickly but nothing I did would help. I contacted ...
Summary: feature wise the little thing is absolutely perfect. so many functions, good ui speed and so customizable. however there is one big problem: the screen light-out timing. its set to 10 seconds by default and cannot be changed! you are typing an sms, reading something, playing a game then your screen goes dark! what a joke.. apparently new s40 nokia phones all got this "problem".
Summary: I got Nokia 6600 slide phone just before Christmas as an upgrade to my contract. At first I liked the phone: small, stylish, very handy with a little bit of everything, easy to use and from brand that I always trusted - had couple of Nokia mobile phones before. I was very happy with this one too to the point. It happened about a month ago - six months after getting the phone - that I started to experience problems with the screen.
Summary: I have purchased this phone based on the fact it had very little in extra features, yet still had a good build quality. After having it for some time, I can say that it feels good in the hand, it has good weight to it - quality feel, but sitting right next to my Nokia N85, it barely gets reception where the N85 is at full strength. I do not know if this is a common issue with this phone, but if it is not - then it must be a quality issue..
Summary: I have a 6600i and was sold on it by the salesman who told me it was superior to my previous Nokia in all respects, especially listening to music. I really want my mobile telephone to be adept at making and receiving text messages and telephone calls - bread and butter stuff. I also enjoy listening to music so I want that application to be of superior quality. I was drawn to its ergonomics and nice compact size. It feels reassuringly weighty in your mitts.
Summary: Randomly freezes, whenever it is turned off you lose stored calender events, birthdays etc. Only way to fix it is to restore a backup but that only works half the time and doesnt guarantee your contacts will be restored if it does work.Service drops out alot of the time, backlight timing not adjustable and backlight on keypad randomly goes off only way to fix is to restart which means restoring backup again if it works.
