Summary: I have had a number of the Nokia 6085 phones. They are small, hold charge well and are reasonably durable. If you don't want a smart phone this is a good choice, and many are available at a good price. Unfortunately, this one came with a small piece missing at the charger port.
Used Nokia 6085 Intermittant in Reception/Transmission
24 February 2013
Summary: We chose to purchase a used Nokia 6085 instead of a new one to save money. Unfortunately, the used one performs intermittantly. When a call is made, those on the other end say that the transmission breaks up. Similarly, the audio breaks up on the phone during calls. We have an identical cell phone that we purchased new several years back that does not have these issues.
Summary: With this particular order, I did experience a few problems. The biggest of all was that the phone did not come unlocked. I had to call at&t and have it unlocked myself which took a few days. After my father was finally able to use it (it was his father's day present) we realized the screen would flash on and off every four seconds. It is rather annoying, but it serves its purpose of making phone calls and sending text messages.
Summary: Many people are enamored of the Nokia 6085. Yes, it has that Nokia quality feel, made well unlike my samsung t259 which seemed so fragile and cheap. The Nokia is easy to dial and also is pretty. Nice front screen that should always show the time, but for the life of me, though I have set it to do that, the screen goes blank after a while. I'm at a loss as to how to keep it from disappearing.
Summary: This phone works great for voice but don't count on texting. It will freeze on your while you are texting if another text rolls in while you are texting. Don't buy if you want to text also. Buy if you want to just talk.
Summary: the phone was great for 2 days .but the next day the phone screen was going blank, you can not see anything on the screen ,we are trying to get intouch with them, because we need a new phone like they said it was.
Summary: I thought "Here is my kind of phone!" A small flip phone with no fancy things. I could not figure out how to change my address list from last name first to first name first. The instructions for how to do it didn't work. I don't know the last name of many of my friends and contacts. Some have titles, some don't. I spent 5 days working on that. Finally I gave up. I'm using my slightly broken but OK, old phone.
Summary: The biggest concern is the phone is unlocked and in theory supposed to work with any GSM network. I had a problem to connect to my T-mobile account, as the phone failed to register. I spent a while with T-mobile tech support online and they couldn't so anything. On other hand it worked with no issue with my friend AT&T SIM card, so if you have AT&T you can take a chance, if have T-mobile - don't buy it.
Summary: This phone from at&t is locked, can't use it on my carrier.Thought it was unlocked for the price. next time I will read the fine print. no would not recommend this.even tryed to have it unlocked from a company on line to no success. still waiting on one since last month.
