Summary: First of all i glad, that i didn't bought it for myself. This is an old model of nokia, the only good thing is a good quality of music and maybe the battery life. Maybe this smartphone was good enough few years earlier, but for now u can buy some good android phone for this price. If you wanna buy Nokia anyway better take nokia x6 model, its MUCH better for same price.
Excerpt: Overall a low end smartphone in my opinion, super slow processor at 434Mhz single core, not good, very unresponsive, takes few seconds to load an app, frequent lag in UI,and hangs frequently, and sometimes ever turns off itself, phone can also get very hot at times.Nevertheless,it is indestructible.
Pros: Carl Zeiss lense, Dual LED flash for camera, Nice back so we dont really need a cover., Indestructible phone
Summary: If you are buying this for the GPS function, think again. As many others have commented, it takes forever for this phone to figure out where it is. That makes it pretty useless for around the town driving. In addition, it has a pathetic accuracy level. It regularly told me that I was 300 yards from a turn when I was already in the left turn lane and only 20 feet from the intersection. Suddenly it realized where it was and told me to turn left.
Summary: I'm writing this review from the perspective of an American who lives and travels overseas. Because of this, I was looking for an unlocked, quad-band GSM phone that had 3G, Wifi, GPS, a decent screen size for video and a good app selection. Plus, I wanted this all at a reasonable price since I would not be getting any plan subsidy. Using this criteria the 5800 seemed perfect and there are a lot of great things about this phone for the traveler which I'll go into later.
Excerpt: I can't get my phone to last through the day no matter how i use it...unless i don't. It will restart at least once a day. I have had the phone for about three months now and i'm getting rid of it...I have had enough of the bugs...By the way i have the most current version of the software..
Pros: WI-FI, very usable GPS, web browsers, nokia maps, garmin xtoptional works great, some good free or cheap apps available for symbian, good quality music/video player, screen quality, touch screen is responsive. i can use fingers or stylus easily.
Cons: price, screen could be slightly larger, phone freezes or apps cause it to freeze when low on memory, ~25mb or less. often have to restart or remove battery. originally had 88mb free phone memory. 8gb sd card shipped with phone is the slowest class 2. usb cable pathetically short. camera could be better quality, noisy photo/video in low light, shutter sound and led light during video recording cant be disabled, pre-installed rom games cant be removed, menu layout is no...
Summary: It is a good phone but as everyone said the camera sucks , although it is 3,2 MP but it feels like 1.3 . and if you want to read you office files using it , then find a software called Quick office . This program can open office files in you phone . beside the camera and the Office thing , it is a great phone . All n all great phone , but if you have the money buy a N86,N85,N97,X6 16GB, rather then this .
Summary: "I find the battery life to be excellent and the 3.2 megapixel camera takes good pictures, although they always look crappy on the phone I was pleasantly surprised at the quality when I uploaded them to my PC. I don\'t find it very intuitive, I find trying to add address locations on the maps feature to be counter intuitive to the point of being frustrating, oh and it loves sub menu\'s, so many sub menu\'s so many options to navigate.
