Excerpt: This phone's battery goes dead very fast. It is limited in use. I would rexcommend spending money and getting a higher quality phone. I have a samsung phone and it is a better quality and has better functionality. I would recommend buying at least a samsung. This Nokia is myy third nokia in less than a year. Very basic.
Excerpt: I got this phone for my wife and she had problems with the software before the warrenty expired. The company didn't bother changing the scratched screen. It is a good phone but nothing compared to the WIFi ready ones. I think this phone is the end of an era.
Excerpt: I purchased my Nokia 5300 XpressMusic at full price ($180 at the time) because I didn't want to upgrade my T-Mobile contract (unhappy with their lacking coverage). I loved it for the first few days until the novelty wore off. The expandable memory (MicroSD) slot is great if you actually use your phone to listen to music, but doing so will kill the battery quickly. The battery life is sub-par for a near $200 phone. I found myself charging it every day to a day-and-a-half.
Excerpt: I thought i would love this phone!! Unfortunately it didn't really live up to what I thought it would. I don't expect a lot out of a phone, but the user interface isn't exactly user friendly. Everything is not organized very well and the titles of sections can be confusing. Never was able to upload any song onto it, they wouldn't work.
It's a good thing they don't make the Nokia 5300 XM anymore

Excerpt: When I purchased the Nokia 5300 XM, I was really excited! I have always used Nokia phones, and was thrilled to see a version made for music. It is a slide style phone with buttons on the side for controlling the music function, and I loved it. That is until all of a sudden one day about 6 months after I bought the phone the sound started cutting in and out on not only the music player, but also when it was ringing. I was told it was covered under warranty, so I was...
Excerpt: I got a Nokia TracFone in December, but it seems like every time I go to do something simple on it, that you should be able to do yourself , I always end up having to call customer service! Activating it was the first fiasco. They just couldn't get it right. Grrrr. Then I couldn't get the minutes I'd bought to go onto the phone. I was supposed to get double minutes with the card I bought, and after calling customer service the first time and not being able to get...
Summary: This phone was great right out the box. I was excited and it worked well... then the problems started. The slider was loose so it would open in my handbag if I was reaching for it. Then, the soft keys stopped working. Just plain stopped. No warning, no nothing. In less than a year, I was back to using my old phone and this one was parked under my bed.
Summary: Most of the features about this phone is good except the battery life. It is not as advertised (9 days standby time). The phone becomes dead within 2 days after full charge, even if I don't talk.
Summary: I thought I liked the phone a lot after I got it brand new from T-mobile. Then it dropped on the CARPET of my apartment, from the dining room table (a very short distance) and the screen went black. I had only used it for 3 days. T-mobile did not refund or replace the phone...
Summary: I got this phone awhile back and replaced it fast because it kept freezing and I'd have to take the battery off to restart it. My phone recently broke and I'm back to using this one again and realizes why I avoided it in the first place. Picture Messaging - never works, always says network failure Text Messaging - it doesnt seem to save new words so its quite annoying to have to type a frequently used word that it does not recognize Calls - good. no problems here.
