Summary: I loved this phone, till it suddenly stopped charging and I tried replacing the charger, battery all to no avail. I took it to a mobile phone shop who said it was probably the circuitry. I had hardly used it and was quite upset to have lost the use of it so quickly - it would have got 5 stars had it been reliable!
Summary: The 3720 is well over priced for a rugged phone that esthetically and functionally is a step down from the Nokia C-02, which is half the price. If you have averaged sized hands and really need a rugged phone then consider it, but remember you can afford to break two C-02s for the same price. Not recommended. Comparison with the C-02 Pros It is more rugged and takes a lot of knocks. My phone often gets damp to wet from accompanying me when running and cycling in the rain.
Summary: I had to return this phone as the reception indoors was very poor when compared to previous phones i have owned . Quite often text messages wouldn't send but would send ok after you switched phone off and back on again .
Summary: Bit disappointed, it's meant to be rugged so guess it was aimed at blokes at work etc. The buttons are a bit small and the bottom left and right buttons are the smallest plus the surrounding lip gets in the way when texting, quite annoying and un-neccessary. Also I've dropped it once when getting out of my car and the back plus battery fell out, so much for rugged.
Summary: Haven't had this very long so it hasn't been subjected to the usual knocks and I don't plan to deliberately immerse it. The phone didn't come with a manual but I have managed to use it without so far. It probably has more features than I actually need (I was really looking for a rugged replacement for my 5140i). The collour display is good but I have yet to remove the plastic film covering it.
Summary: Being a busy farmer I get my phones wet, dirty, dusty and drop them regulary This is a nice phone and is simple with a good battery life. Button for the lock key is hard to press if you have large fingers due to the design of the phone casing. Have had phone for about 8 months now and no problems until I dropped it out of my hand onto floor. Screen has cracked so cant be that rugged!!
Summary: Good screen size, clear text and good size keys are spolit by the short battery life. The literature implies that this phone has an excellent battery life. Being a very light user, averaging one text and maybe three short calls a week, all features turned off, to conserve battery life, and can still only get about 8 days out of a full charge. This is significantly different to the two and a half weeks standby indicated on the packaging.
Summary: After many horrendous trials and tribulations actually trying to get this phone (from both Amazon and Prepaymania) I can only comment on a few technical drawbacks- Annoying lack of a 'fully charged alert', so basically you don't know when the phone is fully charged or not, no peep, nothing. Predictive text is a bit naff, you can't do a group delete for unwanted text messages, the 'star' and 'hash' buttons are a bit fiddly to use due to keyboard layout.
