The Nokia 3250 is a Symbian smart phone and features the world’s first swiveling keypad. Users can switch between phone, camera and music mode by twisting the keypad accordingly. The phone runs Symbian 6.0 OS and includes many corporate features like email, instant messaging, a speakerphone, Bluetooth and a wireless web browser. But the lack of applications for viewing Microsoft Office documents reduces the overall business-value of the model. However, it excels a multimedia phone with a 2-megapixel camera and an extensive media player. The camera shoots pictures in three resolutions and videos in two resolutions, allowing users to modify a variety of quality and customization settings. The integrated media player supports a whopping thirteen audio and video formats and also allows users to organize their music. The phone has 10 MB of internal memory and supports expansion up to 1 GB.

The 3250 performs generally well but a few complaints have been left regarding call quality. While callers sound clear and quite crisp, crackles often impede the otherwise smooth conversations. The speakerphone makes up, however, as it presents loud and high-quality audio with very little loss of quality. The inbuilt stereo speakers are outstanding, providing great playback and music quality. The camera is satisfactory and CNET say that it produces pleasing images but video quality can be improved. Battery life is disappointing though, as the rated talktime is a poor 3 hours and standby is a good 10 days. Overall, the 3250 is a very impressive smartphone with just a few noticeable flaws. If users can overcome difficulties with the design, this handset should make a fine choice.
