Summary: "purchased this 31st july & the screen keeps going white/blank.ee say its a manufacturing glitch in a new design so tough luck, you pay your money you take your chance.really tough if I need to make a call & I,m having to repeatedly turn my phone on & off till It decides to give me a screen back.so beware folks & thanks for nuthin,ee.
Summary: I can't stress enough, DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. It's 2014. It's absolutely amazing how this level of technology is still on the market. I'm pretty sure my Nokia from 2002 had the same capabilities and capacity. You simply cannot use the web. It's slow. Cumbersome. Utterly inaccessible. It doesn't have WiFi! Really, if there were laws about this sort of thing, Nokia would not be ALLOWED sell this piece of junk.
Summary: All but one of my mobiles have been Nokia because I really valued the long battery life. When I got this phone at first the battery lasted about 4 days. Suddenly after 3 months it went down to 24 hours. The thing is that I rarely use it. It is not connected to the internet. On average it handles about 3 calls and 6 text messages per week, and that's it. It's actually a rubbish item - more trouble than it's worth. My previous Nokia also let me down.
A well made, simple, neat little phone let down by atrocious email & web issues.

Summary: This phone was bought for emergency back up. This Nokia's email & web capability were what I primarily needed and so I thought that this phone would fit the bill. Unfortunately, web connectivity proved patchy at best, even in strong signal areas. It was the Nokia's email failings that were the deal breaker. Images could not be displayed and downloaded emails could not be viewed without web access.
Summary: I have never known a Nokia phone to be so bad at texting as this phone. It has no facility to learn new words,an irritating screen keeps popping up as you type a word with about 3 0r 4 words on it and if the word you want is not on the list then you have had it and you will have to think of a replacement word.It can only do "Chat mode " for texts which have to be deleted every few texts or new chat texts wont open.
Summary: aAll I wanted was a simple phone in the old style. I had high hopes. No touchsceen, nothing fancy. Just plain old S40 and a plastic body. What could go wrong? Unforunately my rather elderly and smaller 6700 has better battery life. The screen on this one was instantly hugely scratched so unreadable in sunlight. And when I tried to download an OTA software update it bricked the phone more comprehensively than I have ever seen before.
Summary: Now I have a tablet I don't particularly need a smart phone so decided to go back to a simple phone with a good battery life. Having reviewed lots phones this seemed to fit the bill - and I used to like Nokia. Its a nice phone, small and seems solidly built. But - BIG BUT - despite what some reviews say it does not sync with Google Contacts. I may not need a smart phone but I wasn't going to maintain two address books.
