Summary: The product arrived sealed. It was a present for my sister-in-law, but when she opened it there was no battery. Not sure if this is standard, but every time I have bought a cellphone there has always been a battery supplied. This may have been an error, and if so then I do understand. I tried sending an e-mail enquiring about this but I have not received any reply as yet.
Conclusion: horrible phone, had for about a month and i can not access my messages or contacts, as "sim memory not ready" and " message storage not ready". this happens everytime my phone turns off, and i do not switch it off, it switches itself off at very unhelpful times, normally when sending a message, or reciveing a message.
Conclusion: Its good in look. Only problem is that it does not have a memory card slot. Also it has problem with message memory. I bought it yesterday and received some text messages on it but most of the times if i try writing a text or open my inbox, it says "Message Storage Memory not ready". Does anyone have an idea, how could it be fixed?
Conclusion: It's no wonder that Virgin are giving these away free: this is a low quality phone, no memory card slot, no flashing light to tell u about messages/missed calls. Screen graphics rough: very pixelated screen. I was gonna recycle my faultless old 6300 but I'll just hang onto it now as I have read many posts about 2680 quickly going faulty so may need it again!
Conclusion: Hi, I am facing an issue with Nokia 2680-s. I bought it on the last week of oct last year. It was working fine for a few days. Then it started to hang up and i gave it to the nearest nokia care in alwarpet, Chennai. They told its a software issue and uploaded the new one and gave it to me. It didn't last for more than a day. Again it had the same problem and i gave it to them once again. They once again did the same thing and handed it over to me.
