Summary: I have had a phone like this Nokia all 10 years I have had a cell phone. It does what I need it to do: makes calls and be reliable. I purchased a replacement for $14 when my old one went through the washing machine. I put in my old SIM card and I was ready to go. I did not shed a tear when it was broken unlike a Apple 5 user ($700 cell phone).
Summary: It was a gift and they LOVED it. Their previous Nokia 1208 got ran over by a forklift so they have been mourning that phone for quite some time. So I decided to buy another one for them. They couldn't have been happier, got all the features back. Mostly the flashlight. Love it.
Summary: I completely love the design of this phone. It's easy to use, basic, and reliable. I bought mine for two reasons: first, it was brand new, and second, it was not expensive at all. If you want a cheap and reliable cell phone, then go ahead and purchase this one.
Summary: Picking up the phone it feels like complete junk, but it was a cheap replacement for my wife's more expensive phone after it was broken. Even though the phone doesn't have a substantial heft (it feels almost empty) - it is relatively sturdy. This phone is a great back up or cheap replacement.
Excerpt: The only problem that i have with this phone is that the LCD. I has dead pixels right in the middle of the phone, probably caused by excessive pressure on the LCD. I have used a lot of phones in the past but this is the first time I had this problem. It could be that the LCD is not as reliable since its cheap or it could be entirely my doing. If you are travelling and needs to have a mobile phone for immediate needs I recommend you buying this unit.
Summary: I have this phone from T-Mobile for 2 years now. I just needed a cheap and light phone to carry around. I have a corporate blackberry. This phone has endured all the abuse a phone can. Got wet, got dropped etc. Still works well. Reception is good and battery life is awesome.
