Excerpt: I got a Nokia 1200 a few months back and I just love it. Well, I’m not really looking for sophisticated features so this cell phone is just for me. I’ve got to admit one of the major reasons I got it is the price. It only costs 1500 pesos. That’s roughly about $33. So it’s really cheap. But it does the job. I can send text messages and I can definitely call using my Nokia 1200. One thing I love about having this phone is it’s not so delicate.
Excerpt: The Nokia 1200 is very simple mobile phone. It has no camera, no WLAN, no bluetooth, no card slot or USB. It has a monochrome screen, so a camera wouldn’t be of much use anyway :-) So, why would anyone want a mobile phone like that? Well, since it doesn’t have a lot of special features it is not a lot of things that can go wrong.
Excerpt: I had used Nokia 1200 from February to April of this year before my dad gave me my Nokia 2700. The latter is loaded with advanced Nokia features and is very useful in everyday life especially in coping up and living with the latest technology. However, I still love the simplicity of the former. It is unlike any other. Nokia 1200 may not be packed with the latest applications, but it really was a great pal to me. It is not a colored phone.
Excerpt: This is an awesome phone aimed at people who just need it for the basic purpose- calling. This phone is meant for only those genre of people. At just 1200 Indian Rupees i found it completely justied for the price. Drop it, play it, throw it, it would take everything u throw on it, will still work. An did i tell u that the battery is the best part?? U charge it once and it will last for more than 4 days on normal usage.. Isnt that awesome!!!??
Pros: Battery Life, Rigid Body, Dirt Cheap
Cons: The Only drawback in my case was the message capacity which stand at 80 (inbox+drafts) and 15 (sent). I wish it had a little more capacity.
Summary: I purchsed the Nokia 1200 as a surprise for my Dads birthday. I chose this one as I thought it was simple to use but he could not get used to it so i had to send it back. I found it to be one of the easiest mobiles I have used and the service from DIGITAL TECHNOLGY to be quick so for me I give it 4 Stars but only because I had to send it back.
Summary: Only thing wrong with it is it sometimes it hard resets the moment before I send a text, meaning I have to write the whole bloody thing again, thats happened 3 times in 45 days of constant use, so no major hassle. Massive battery life (7 days at least with no long calls), VERY bright torch (or "flashlight"), no extra features to drain energy.
Summary: about looks or gimmicks, this phone does the biz. I had a sophistocated phone with camera and video but the battery performance was appalling - needed to charge it each day. This one does texts and calls and the battery goes for 10 days easily (but I don't use it much!
Summary: Bought this phone for my Mum. It's easy to use, no frills but you can make calls and send texts - which is all she wanted. I think it's good value. Definitely wouldn't impress the average person under 25 though!
