If weird isn't enough, Nokia 1006 has a mind of its own.

Excerpt: Cell Phone, can you really keep up with them? I was an avid user for many years due to work and organizing. I am somewhat tech and enjoy being on my computer. I decided to get a simple in-expensive cell-phone, Nokia 1006 , when I decided to be a stay-at-home mom. I only needed it now to make emergency phone calls, daily texting but most of all for organizing such as reminders, alarms, appointments and so on.
Excerpt: Nokia 1006 cell phone : I purchased this cell phone through Metro pcs. I have been using this cell phone for quite some time. I always loved Nokia cell phones. And had always used nokia cell phones. This cell phone is little disappointing when compared to other good cell phones from Nokia. this cellphone is sleek and flimsy. At the first look you will find it very simple to use and handle.
my nokia 1066 doesnt even work 1/2 as good as it used too

Excerpt: my nokia 1006 used to satisfy me because i desperately needed a cell phone, but couldnt afford the new smartphone. the nokia1006 worked fine for awhile, then the screen would lock up whenever i received a text message, and i'd have to wait to unlock the screen then go into the message folder to retrieve the text message or keep the phone in the message folder (sometimes making "butt" calls because i couldnt lock the keypad). i'm disappointed that i pay for web/internet...
Excerpt: This is the worst phone ever. I drop calls 20 times a day, the battery needs to be recharged after 40 minutes worth of use, and the sound.quality is not much better than Skype. According to Metro's coverage Map I should have good service but it sucks. Both Metro and Nokia will not stand behind this phone. I will never buy a Nokia phone or use the Metropcs service again.
Excerpt: The Nokia 1006 is considered a basic, low-end phone but it is light weight and elegant in design with a solid, quality feel in the hand. Aesthetics include an attractive, ergonomically curved body shape that is supposed to gently curve along the shape of one's face and inside the palm of the hand--but it is a small design novelty without any genuine ergonomic functionality. With a choice of several low-end MetroPCS phones this was actually not my first choice.
Excerpt: I mean what can you say. You get what you pay for. It's $19.99 Helloooo!
So here it is...
Its a Nokia (enough Said)
Not Text Friendly
Needs some getting use to for those not use to a Nokia
Its JUST OK. Had this phone for less than a day and returned it. I thought it was good to have for a few weeks while I waited to upgrade my plan, but I couldnt deal with the phone. Too small and the keypads were to small for my fingers.
To each his own.
~easy to read number pad with light-up backgrounds
~in-depth alarm clock
~Includes Tip Calculator
~Not texting friendly
~Not browser friendly (pressing UP can mean moving both moving upward and previous page)
~Loud Speaker is not so loud
Texting can be torturous, would not recommend this phone to anyone that relies heavily on text messaging (such as myself, which explains the low review).
Excerpt: I'm tired of my flip phone. I don't know why, but I don't care for them. So I decided to try the Nokia 1006 instead. What a joke. Areas that my Samsung worked just fine in I got now service. Took it back and got another with the same problems!
Excerpt: This is not a smartphone, but for the user that just wants a great little phone with basic functions, it is well worth the price. I use it with a Bluetooth speaker system and it works very well. The built-in speaker phone is not all that great but it does work. I like the small size. Text messaging works fine. I like the bar phone shape and often use it like a microphone when talking to groups. A good basic phone. Much better than any trac phone.
Excerpt: 1. Dropped calls 2. Dropped calls 3. Dropped calls 4. OFTEN, (and not having it set to 'silent' or vibrate only) the phone doesn't ring at all but will sound an alert for a message seconds after it was left. 5. Changing Profiles takes 5 presses (plus navigation) even though I have set it with Profiles at the top of the settings list. 6. Alarm doesn't go off or goes off at some unspecified time. 7.
